Can a UK beneficiary please tell me what is on the checklist sent to you by the embassy:
1. What is it they require to be mailed back to them?
2. What are you expected to take to the interview?
Thanks!

Hey,

Go to this link and it tells you exactly what you need to take to the interview.

http://www.usembassy.org.uk/cons_new/visa/iv/docs169.html

The embassy will send you a package and in it will be the checklist which you send once you have the documents, but it also has a list of forms that they want you to complete and send back asap. Make sure you read carefully which one you dont sign until you get to the embassy, and I recommend you to fill the forms out on the computer. IIt saves time processing on their end, and it prints off a barcode on one of the forms.

Also, something I did, was even though i actually didnt have my police certificate, I knew I would be receiveing it in about 14 days so I sent the checklist off anyway, saying that I had everything to speed up the process.
It takes a while for then to contact you with an interview date, and I just received a letter stating a date and time of when it was. No phone call.
On the cover letter I sent with the completed checklist, I did actually put... "While I know that I cannot request a specific date for the interview, I would greatly appreciate it if there was any possibility of scheduling my interview for mon or tues as early in the morning as possible..." And I did get my interview on one of those two days. Maybe just a coincidence, but it doesnt hurt to ask.
Hope this helps...

Is the checklist that they send you the DS-2001?? unsure.gif

I have seen some people call the checklist by the term IV-15 but I can't find a download for a form called that (the link for IV-15 on the Embassy website is just the explanation sheet of the documents required; i.e. - how to get your police certificate, etc. - not an actual checklist) helpsmilie.gif

There is not a download for the checklist, but I can assure you the list you see when you click on that link is exactly the same as the checklist they send you, apart from not having little boxes next to each point for you to check to show you've collected them!!

checklist is called an IV15. You can download a copy from the embassy's website. They send it in pk3.

Where?

As I stated above, the Embassy website lists the IV-15 but when you click on the link it just takes you to a sheet of instructions. No .pdf file checklist. Clarax stated the checklist looks like the instructions but has boxes next to the paragraphs. Do you know of a different link that will let me download the actual checklist?

Rebster,

I really dont think they have the "actual checklist" for you to download.
You just have to be content with the information we have already given you, and start collecting that, and when they do send you the package, you will see that it really is the same.
I've just been through the same process and trawled through the whole US embassy-london website. Just try to be patient, you will get your package soonn.

Here are two very good links... someone was nice enough to upload their own London Packet 3 & 4 (even the envelope the packets came in). Packet 3 has the checklist similar to the one Jaylen Brit posted…. It’s nice to see what to expect and gives you little head start on colleting info they’re going to need.

The * is referring to a note that states you must have the original of these documents but that the originals will be returned if you bring a copy as well as the original to the interview. wink.gif
