My wife got a blue slip. I was really upset and tired. I could not do anything yesterday. Now, I am trying to do a list of thing they listed in the blue slip: time-line, a list of relative, and a proof of current address of my ex-wife. I dont know I have how much change for my case. My wife was crying all last night after a long, hard interview. They asked my wife about 30-35 questions. These are some:

How you met together
How your husband propose
What his sister's name
Have you ever visit his sister
Have you stayed overnight with his sister
Do his siter have any children
What name (my sister's son)
What do you do in visiting his sister
What name of his ex-wife
Date of marrige
Date of dirvorce
Where is your husband working
How far from home
What time your husband work
Do your husband attend college
What school
Is he finished
How mayny time and when your husband visit you in Vietnam
Describe the city which your husband living.

My english is not good enough to translate exactly they asked my wife. My wife said that there was a Vietnamese girl was very rude. American office is a lady. She is nice.

I will post information about my case if I have something new. I hope I will have some change. Really I have a very bad feelling, but I know I have to go on.

Thank you for your supports.

I am going through the same thing right now. My wife was asked about 60 questions. She actually remembered everything and even sent me an email of the questions and her responses to them. They are requesting for our timeline, a list of her relatives and friends in the US with address + b-days, and proof of my plane ticket purchases. All which I just sent overnight to my wife. She'll probably get it next week and submit it to the Consulate. Here's hoping both our cases get pink after that.

niceman
Yes, we got the same thing. How can you do your timeline so fast. Actually, I never do this when I made my application. That why I have to start to do that. I try to finish ASAP.

Rodney n.
My lawyer told me they were asking for a lot of proof about ex-wives for some reason. I told him today i don't see why they do because personally i cant stand my ex and could care less where she is.lol he said they were requiring proof that you don't live together. Its BS if you ask me, but the consulate can pretty much do whatever they want i guess until someone tells them otherwise. i thought about just getting a statement from my landlord if they ask for anything from me that states i am only one who lives here.

The consulate required that we have to give tthem the information: name, BOD, current address and proof for current adress of my ex-wife. It is so ridiculus. How can I contact with her and ask her the copy of her house hold's register book. I am so upset.
Rodney n.
This is strange they are asking a lot of people for this now because my divorce decree says we live in separate places. yours have this ?

Sorry to hear that you got a blue slip. While it might seem unfair right now, they are asking for more evidence that you didn't provide before the interview. They have questions and you have the answers. Give them what they ask for ASAP. Then they should give you the pink slip you want.

We wish you good luck!!

Yes, get it notarized. It's better to be safe than sorry.

Then when asked by CO, tell them NO. My wife was asked this ? twice during the interview; she answered NO the first time, then the CO asked again, still NO answer replied. It was accepted; therefore no list of relatives listed under her 1st blue slip.

I, too was very worried about them asking about my ex-wife, because I DID live with my ex-wife after we were divorced, up until 2 months before the interview. I was assured by Marc Ellis that they would ask about that and probably give us a blue slip. I spent a lot of time getting all kinds of letters and evidence. They did not ask anything about it during the interview. I guess there's a first time for everything. Most do get asked, though. None of their business, if you ask me.
Rodney n.
I agree. I could really care less where my ex lives, and i don't know why it matters to them. i want to get some evidence to prove she doesnt live with me. what is best to get? letter from my landlord saying i am only one who lives at my residence?

Rodney

That would be good if it was notarized but it would be better to show an unbaised third party proof such as her gas bill. Also a notarized letter from her saying she doesn't live with you would definitely satisfy the Consulate. Of course that's assuming they ask about your exwife.

How long have you been living apart? How long have you been divorced?

we haven't lived together for almost 4 years and have been divorced for almost 3 years. i was thinking they may ask for the proof we don't live together if the divorce was pretty recent. any thoughts?

I am not an immigration lawyer, so this isn't legal advice, but I'd say you've got nothing to worry about if you've been apart for that long.
Rodney n.
i hope so, but just in case my fiancée knows my exs name, birth date, when we married and divorced. smile.gif

You never know for sure about this Consulate but I think you're divorce is far enough in the past that the Consulate won't be interested in it. It's still good that your fiancee knows about it because they could ask about that just to test her knowledge of you and your past. Someone here posted about a fiancee who didn't know her fiance had been divorced. He didn't want to tell her because he thought she'd be unhappy and suspicious of him. That caused them not to be approved...... Her not knowing that made the Consulate believe their relationship was fraud.
