So what are everyone's plans for the 4th? This is our first 4th of July here together. We have one of the biggest parades around, and as much as i don't like the parade, all the people, trouble parking, rude people, I thought it would be nice for my husband to see what it is like here to see a big parade.
And then after we will probaby stay home, or we are invited to a cookout at a local bar i go to on occassion and even tho he don't drink, he don't mind goin with me now and then. So then in the evening we will go see the fireworks close to our home. It will be a nice day providing the weather stays nice.

My husband is in Egypt, so I'll probably just study and try to find a good movie on tv

I don't like holidays without my habibbi.

We're going to a pool party and grilling/chilling, then hubby has to work at midnite

We'll be skipping the fireworks downtown - toooooo many people! Besides, hubby will probably be napping around that time before reporting for duty.

We're having a few family and friends over for a cookout and to do a little swimming. I get to see my 1 yr old niece and my best friend who lives 8 hours away. I'm excited! We'll probably also go over to Patriot's Point to watch the fireworks later that night.

I love love love fireworks. but I think this year we may have to sit them out or just see what we can from our patio because baby is really alarmed at loud noises, sometimes even the vacuum sets her off. I dont want to go to all the trouble of getting there, parking, finding a spot, etc just to have it end immediately in a scene. oh well, it will pass by next year I hope

We'll probably go to a cookout/swimming at a friends first. My son is away at camp which is a shame because normally he and Adnan have a great time lighting the little cheesy fireworks in the street. well, next year for that too I guess ........

I don't buy it for a second that this baby is going to give you any trouble. Look at that smile!

My husband has told me he wants to go to JUMAH on Friday. I tried to tell him that maybe there will not be alot of people there but I will let him figure that stuff out for himself.
We missed JUMAH last week and it was a big story.

Wanted to wish you all a great July 4th --
I'm actually working all today tomorrow -- perhaps will stop by a pool party event after 7 pm.. otherwise I may just come straight home to watch a movie then sleeeep.
I just don't like celebrating holidays alone.

My brother & I are having a HUGE BBQ & then we're going to blow things up! We always will go 1/2 on a big package of fireworks, but it never fails, as soon as we run out.....my brother runs off to get more! Last year there were people that actually stayed at home to see all the fireworks my brother shoots off! It's quite the show. We're bringing a Moroccan family with us....this is their first 4th here and she is due to have a baby any day now. Her doctor told her Wednesday she'd have the baby by Saturday. Hope I'm not delivering a baby tonight!

I have a lunch date. But first....laundry.
I might go to a county fair...it's free. Nothing beats the smell of cow/horse poop on a summer day.
