Well me and my fiance are ready to get our marriage license here in PA. We read all the rules and things to bring but I was curious if she needs more documents to bring with us before we go there.

All it says to bring is Photo Id ( license or passport) and some type of ID that has our social security number.... And of course the fee.

I was wondering what other people brought with them before they went to get their certificates. Any help will be helpful. Thank You!

I took my passport with the visa showin the purpose of coming to the US. That was all we needed to get the marriage license. Passport is also a photo ID. Did not need SSN. Hadn't even applied for one when we got married

There's 50 sets of rules in the USA about marriage licenses, because that's a state function. Your best answer would come from the local courthouse where you will be getting the license. Ring them up and ask them what you should bring.

I'm from PA. and we just got our marriage license last week.. now in different counties it maybe different but I'm not sure.

I took my photo id/license and he took his passport. thats all that was needed. they asked for our SSNs but there was no problem with him not having one. There was no blood text required. and it cost $50.

I know in some counties the license is mailed to you. here in the capital we got the license right away but there is a 3 day wait to get married after receiving the marriage license.

Every County is different, you can not rely on what others have brought.

Google your County, they all have a webpage.
