So I am sitting here thinking of all the things I miss about my MENA husband and thought perhaps there are "little" things your S/O does that is special for you and would like to share:

I love the way my husband moves his mouth when he speaks English
I love the way he knows me better than any body on this Earth
I love he can make me laugh even in the worst of moods.
I love his never ending patients with me

lol maybe they're not so little....

I miss the way Ibrahim opens the drapes first thing in the morning.

I miss him making wudu and asking if I will be praying with him.

I miss him saying 'Habibite you are my beautiful wife' and that is what he calls me as his cell phone entry 'my beautiful wife'

I miss him staring at me laying next to each other in bed.

I miss kissing his cheek when he hasn't shaved

I miss cooking for him and watching him enjoy his food

I miss watching movies with him.

I really could go on an on and on..........I miss everything about Ibrahim.

I just feel our MENA S/O's are different than the rest of the world... is all. Hence why i married him but I most likly am wrong lol

I miss him bringing me nose rings cuz he saw that i lost the last one
I miss watching him pretending to read his medical books while sneaking looks a me
I miss him joking around trying to get me to smile when i dont feel like it

I miss him telling me he loves me
I miss him finding the way to sit next to me
Good Lord if this process dont hurry up i will never be able to miss the stuff u girls already have had or have.

I love how we have become our own near death experience. We will miss us.

Ok, I gotta call him now to say goodnight and tuck him in Ya'll got me missing him like crazy! Our next video date is tommorrow morning.

I remember trying to think of things that I loved about my SO the last time a thread like this was started. At that time I didn't have anything good to say. I'll try to do better this time but seriously...its not easy to come up with this stuff....

1. I love the way he looks in his slacks, grey dress shirt, and black belt with silver buckle.
2. I love how he looks when he is freshly shaven and just has the goatee thingy
3. I love how he takes care of the charcoal every time we have argeelah
4. I love his "real" laugh
5. I love when he wants to put his arms around me at night

That's about it for now. but at least its more than before

I love....

How he won't let me do much around the house now and actually got me a maid!
That he will go out in the middle of the night to satify my cravings.
He helps me get off the couch and out of the bed when I am stuck.
He rubs my back everynight to help with reduce the pain.
He puts lotion on my legs because I can't reach them anymore
The little discussions he has with baby Taleen
That he calls me everyday to know what I had for lunch and how much and asks if I want anything else.
He watches the food network with me everynight

Thats all I can think of now...as you can tell its mostly pregnancy related but that's what matters to me now!

I don't miss anything since he's here but these are little warm fuzzies and they're not specific about him per se but just about *us* in general:

*I love the way we both read in bed at the end of the night all snuggled up.
*I love our little dinner routine.
*I love how things just *clicked* as far as chores, for ex: he brings dirty laundry down cellar, I wash it, he puts it in dryer and brings it upstairs, I fold and put away. No one ever said you do this or I"ll do that...it just happened and it's so cool
*I love how he puts his dirty socks in a ziploc bag and cleans those himself so I don't have to smell them. (this was not a request either he did it on his own)
*I love how he and the cat are bonding and how he gives her kisses.
*I love coming home and finding him playing cards with my 11 yr old and hearing them both laughing.
*I love watching my 12 yr old give him strange things to eat and looking at her face while she waits for his reaction.

Yes a maid...he knows I'm obsessed with clorox for cleaning and he didn't want me smelling it.

I don't know what it is about couches and pregnant women...they seem to just devour you when you lay down on them. Getting off the couch is a major project for me!

the way he loves zaid...bad days or good, he just wont put him down, he insists on doing bathtime, he changes diapers, sings him to sleep, prays the quran in his ear, he is an amazing father, zaid is a lucky boy

I love how he opens doors for me or when we're in tight crowd he puts me infront always

I love how he's years older than me and thinks saying "oh shitttt" "aww man" "whats up" and trying to act younger will impress me - too many rap videos i think funny thing i don't listen to rap anymore lol

How he puts food on my plate for me trying to gain me 50 pounds

How he kisses my face when we're out in public when a guy/girl is "lookin at one of us"

How when we we're at our favorite arab/mediter. bakery after school he pulls my chair closer to him and holds my hand.

If his friends are talking to me he'll playfully push them away and say no talking to my wife

How he strongly believes in God and tries to lift me up when things become too much

How he's so close and respectful to everybody in my family it's just wonderful everything is complete with him here.

Bleach did I hear someone loves to clean with bleach, me too. I also love Tilex, Ajax, and any good strong cleaner. Drives my family crazy, you just can’t beat straight bleach, which takes care of the germs. When I get down, for some reason I start to clean, makes me feel I have some control over my life, so lately I am cleaning like crazy.

I love putting bleach in a spray bottle and spraying down my shower. Makes all my grout nice and white again.

i am addicted to using rubbing alcohol to clean !!! its makes everything so much whiter and brighter and disinfects too !

I Love the way my hubby has perfect timing!!!!! He always knows when to come on line or what to say and when...

I love:

How he asks me every time he calls (even if I saw him an hour or two earlier), Honey, did you eat?

How he always asks me to sit down and rest.

How my daughter calls him her 'Puna Puna' and he calls her his 'Tuna Tuna' (I have no idea where she came up with that either)

He comes up with these realizations or 'aha' moments about us, our relationship and family

He has fantastic taste in clothes, designing the house (he made these beautiful curtains for our living room when he first got here and he's never sewn before - his sisters insisted seeing them on webcam )

I have full trust in him buying my clothes, etc. He always knows the exact size, shoe size, etc by just looking at them and takes great pride in knowing me 'so well'

How my cat has totally disowned my daughter and I for him. The cat even stopped eating and was depressed for a few days after he left in June because he missed him that much. I miss him too but not enough to stop eating.

How he's successful at just about everything (sometimes to the point of being annoying at times )

How he takes care of me when I'm sick. He will do and get whatever I need to make me feel better or more comfortable. He gets so worried and he tells me how it hurts him so much to see me sick.

How the miscarriages we've had in the past few months were just as hard on him if not harder because he is wanting us to have a baby so badly.

It's been a long 26 days since he's been gone. Only 23 more to go and he'll be home again!

Oops! Just thought of another one:

How he says 'tings' for things, 'tree' for three, 'tirdy' for thirty, 'tought' for thought and my all time favorite, 'tird' for third.

I also love how he is sooooooo patient with my daughter and me for laughing hysterically at his pronunciation of things, or should I say, tings? Poor guy.

I also love how he smells soooooooo good in his cologne.

Ok, he's been gone too long.

I miss being able to put my head on his chest and hear his heart beating, i miss his arms around me while he sings along softly to Alafasy's anachid, the smell of his skin, i miss talking and laughing ourselves to sleep, i miss cous cous (skso) on fridays together with him and his family, our long walks together, making him laugh when i ask for Maruja chocolate, making meals together (he's such a good cook), and i miss the peace i felt in my heart knowing that if i am just fortunate enough to open my eyes again in the morning - i will find him there, right beside me.

Inchaallah we will all be reunited with our loved ones soon!

awwww Mash'allah.. our husbands are so tender. It's amazing what people can learn about another culture if just given the time.

My husband can be very "tough" in public but Mashallah..... so not with just me, I miss that too..

How he is only just for me, he even notices what I look at while in public.

He knows everything I wear and has his favorites.

I miss his hair in my hands and the quickening of my heart when he smiles at me for no reason.

I LOVE HIM FOR THE WAY HE COOKS EVERY DAY JUST ABOUT. (WE DO TAKE TURNS)

I LOVE HIM BECAUSE HE COOKS ME BREAKFAST IN BED EVERYWEEKEND.

KAMAL IS UNLIKE ANY MAN HE IN THE STATES THAT I'VE EVER DATED OR BEEN MARRIED TOO. I'VE GOT TO SAY THAT MOST MEN HERE ARE JERKS. EVEN THO THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES, I'VE WANTED TO DIG A GRAVE AND PUT HIM IN IT. HAHAHA I LOVE MY HUSBAND WILL ALL MY HEART AND SOUL. I'VE NEVER BEEN TREATED AS GOOD AS HE TREATS ME, AND I THANK GOD FOR GIVING ME ANOTHER CHANCE IN LIFE TO HAVE SOMEONE TO LOVE ME LIKE THIS.

I love my husband for so many reasons beyond explanation and love him more every day.

I think like Kelly the best thing to see is how he loves our son. How he is so stubborn when I say honey, I will take him while Malek is crying. He refuses to listen and continues to cuddle him and quiet him. I love it also how he listens to his Egyptian music or the reading of the Quran and sits Malek in the bedroom with him to listen or watch him pray.

I love to see him act like a "big kid" and catch lightening bugs in the yard with my kids or play soccer or run through the park playing hide n seek.

I love how he makes me feel like a woman in the relationship instead of me feeling like I wear the pants all of the time.

I love it how he pulls me closer to him at bed at night and wraps his arms around me.

I love it how we say I love you at the same time without thinking about it.

I love how he puts on his cologne right before going to sleep and I can smell it on my bedsheets.

I love it how he says "Come to my coffee shop!" Which is a little place in our garage he has made to smoke and drink coffee.

I love to watch him when he doesn't know that I am.

I loved his compassion for my ill and dying grandmother.

I love the way he looks when he gets out of the shower with wet hair and then prays.

I love how he makes me feel like I am his woman.

I love how he let's me ask questions and always provides me with an honest and educated answer.

I love his love for God and his family.

I love my husband for who he is!

Wow... you reminded me of some more of my baby I miss....it brought tears to my eyes cause I don't want to forget a single thing.

The other side of it is I see what you say they are like here in the U.S. and I soooo look forward with excitement the day he can be here to do those things with the kids.

I love the way my husband sings for me....or tries lol "oooooh baby i love your way" is his song he sings to me.....




Terrie I agree with you. I've never been treated like the way my husband treats me. I truly feel like a Princess when we are together and I found it's not just him that does that for his wife but all the men in his family mashallah... his uncles, his grandfather all appreciate and respect their wives Hamdolah.

Mine did that too... Kissing me on the forhead after our prayers. If we didn't discuss religion afterward he would say Lah Yatekabel.
