Hey everyone, I joined a Facebook group a while ago called "The Africa they never show you" and it is a group that shares BEAUTIFUL pictures Africa. You know the side of Africa "they" never show you on TV. I thought it would be a great idea for us to share pictures showing the good side of our SO's countries or any countries in Africa. There are tons of nice areas in Africa, but most times the media only shares the worst areas. Here is a quote from the group's description:

LL it was absolutely beautiful. Here is a link to some of our pictures in Africa. Even in the hustle and bustle of the city I could see the beauty in the people. Their pride shined through despite some of the conditions of the community. All over you could see hard working dedicated people despite the heat and small amount of money earned for large amount of work.

You're right, this is something they never show. Everybody talks about poverty, deserts, abuse of women, children dying... but people forget to mention the other side of the medal and all the beauties Africa holds within. I just finished reading "Infidel", a book by Ayaan Hirsi Ali about her life and a big part of that book talks about life in Africa and it really is nice to see this now for balance since the book is really depressing and sad (and strong at the same time, but I won't go into a book review now)

This makes me so sad! It looks JUST like the dog I had in Ghana!!! I miss my poor Fido! She was killed about a year after I left because she stole the neighbors eggs.

I call Ghana all the time to ask about my dog. I threatened to malice, fight, and bring down the wrath if anything happened to my dog while I'm away.

I was called "Dog Mommy" and my dog was called "spoiled dog" I had him since he was a baby, and could barely eat solid food. I miss Zion

Though most dogs are mixed breeds in Africa, this one really looks like a Basenji breed.
