Hey everyone, I joined a Facebook group a while ago called "The Africa they never show you" and it is a group that shares BEAUTIFUL pictures Africa. You know the side of Africa "they" never show you on TV. I thought it would be a great idea for us to share pictures showing the good side of our SO's countries or any countries in Africa. There are tons of nice areas in Africa, but most times the media only shares the worst areas. Here is a quote from the group's description:

QUOTE
You've seen the images on tv about africa: the huts, the famine, disease, wars and suffering but they never show you that Africa is beautiful, has happy people and that not every part and person in Africa is poor.

The pictures can be found on many websites and they are easy to upload and share through a photobucket or picturetrail account.

I'll start first. smile.gif

Thank you for this thread!! good.gif

You're right, this is something they never show. Everybody talks about poverty, deserts, abuse of women, children dying... but people forget to mention the other side of the medal and all the beauties Africa holds within. I just finished reading "Infidel", a book by Ayaan Hirsi Ali about her life and a big part of that book talks about life in Africa and it really is nice to see this now for balance since the book is really depressing and sad (and strong at the same time, but I won't go into a book review now)

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. All you need is a hammock and a good book. A book you can't put down that you fall asleep with in your hands. Only to be awaken with a kiss from your SO. They place looks just dreamy.

I call Ghana all the time to ask about my dog. I threatened to malice, fight, and bring down the wrath if anything happened to my dog while I'm away.

I was called "Dog Mommy" and my dog was called "spoiled dog" laughing.gif I had him since he was a baby, and could barely eat solid food. I miss Zion luv.gif
