Hi All,

I have a question regarding my EAD card. Is this being approved even I have incomplete requirements for my I-485? I have submiited my AOS packet..I-130, I-485 and I-765 and got my NOA last June 23, 2008. I guess the next step is my Biometric appointment. I was not able to send in I-864 because my sponsor is still gathering all the taxes documents. Even if my I-485 is pending, will they still process my EAD or not until I have submitted the I-864? I have not gotten an RFE though. What are the basis of EAD application approvals?

Any thoughts on this matter?

My question is, will they still process the approval of my EAD even if I MIGHT have an RFE for my I-485? What are the basis of getting the approval for my EAD. Coz I am so desperate to get my EAD card so I can start working legally. Also, will an EAD card enable me to get a driver license? I am adjusting from B2.

It depends on what the RFE is for. If they send you an RFE on your I485 package that, without this information you would be ineligible for AOS & interim benefits, the processing will halt while they wait for your response.

You can get a Drivers license after you get the EAD
but i think it depends on which state you are living
