Our interview is rapidly approaching, and as the realization that my wife will finally be coming back to the US sets in, so does her stress level. With that being said, it appears that now we're going to be flying to Montreal from Sudbury rather then driving blink.gif

Sooo...does anyone know roughly how much a cab or bus is from the airport down to the Consulate area? I'm not sure what hotel we're staying in, but I think it's only a few minutes from the Consulate itself.

According to the Quebec transport commission it's about $35 from the airport to the city center:

One can catch the bus from the airport to the consulate AND back for like $24 a person!! the bus drops and picks you up from the downtown train station, AND then one can catch a FREE shuttle to most downtown hotels!

And as you can see, there are plenty of shuttles. Thats what I used, and it was top notch service at a much lower price than a taxi.

Hi there, what you could do if you want to save on the cost is take the shuttle bus that takes you straight to the bus terminal downtown and then take a taxi. The cost for the shuttle bus for one way is $14.00 and the taxi ride would probably be about $10 - $15. Best of luck on your interview.

If there are two of you needing transportation, it sounds like the taxi might be the cheaper plan if you both needed shuttle tickets or bus tickets, though. Good luck on your interview. Enjoy Montreal - it is a beautiful city!

There's a VIA station at Dorval airport also, which will take you to Gare Centrale. There is a shuttle to the station outside the airport, which is free.
