My Conditional Green Card will expire Oct 30, 2008, but I need to travel for work to Thailand in July.

I know I can get back into the country no problem, but has anyone experienced issues getting onto the plane in Asia?

When I was in Japan back in April, airport staff was questioning me as there's only less than 6 months left on my greencard. They let me go, but I wonder if this time around it'll be more of a problem?

Thanks

It is not suppose to be a problem.... Sometimes airline personnel get confused ....

My Green Card will expire September 20th, 2008 and I just came back from Hong Kong last week.
No problems whatsoever. No questions were asked, the airline staff just entered the number from the Green Card as usual and I was on my way. No questions or comments from the POE officer in the US, either.

Good luck!

3 international trips - 4 months before my GC expires.

2 of these just 6 weeks before expiration.

And yes, everytime I clear customs, they reminded me of the expiration. I just reassured the officers that I was well aware of it.

I also brought alone our receipt with the one year extension for my wife that I show when reminded we should have filed our I-751. Did laugh when I said, how do you think my wife received her one year extension notice if we didn't already file?

Have to say, the IO was just about the only person we met that was familiar with the one year extension notice. Our state government officials sure didn't know about it. And neither did my wife's employer nor our school. I know for a fact that many illegals are attending our school, but if you have a green card, it better be current.

Time to soak my head in a bucket of ice water again, before my brain blows.

Jeez, travel like five times before the card expired...including the same week of the expiration date. The airline security personnel (Europe) did not like it but there is nothing that says that I need to give my extension letter near to my GC expiration date, my GC was not expired. So I checked in and in the US I did not have any problem or questions. Other pickiness could be if your passport will expire in less than six months.
