Happy Friday! 6 more days whoohoo That's the only thing I'm feeling up about right now. Otherwise, I'm gloomy:( Had a client write today that I did not give her enough "loving" over the phone....I had 10 good marks this past week but nope, the email from my manager will be about this one:/ So gloomy about my job. And if I lose my job, where do I go with the stupid economy? ANd how will I support habibi til he gets on his feet if something bad happens to me? And how will I pay off several things I need to pay off before people start knocking at my door eventually:( And blablablablabla

My to do list today:
1. study my programming stuff (I really got to know that in the vent of a job loss, no money will be left for school so I have to bone up on my skills somehow)
2. I have to go buy a digital camera since I suspect my nephew snagged my other one I had. (yeah nice nephew I have right?)
3. I did manage to buy suitcases for $20 on craigslist and even 2 have wheels. Only thing they are missing is the strap on things so I can drag them. But hey, for $20 what can I say?
4. Habibi's only 2 requests that I bring him from America is American coffee, and a razor, lol so I have to buy them today
5. finish gift shopping
6. clean my place like crazy in case habibi gets to come home with me on the plane
7. going to highlight my hair because habibi has been begging me to get it done again when I see him. I did it last time i went to Palestine and he was loving it. he has been talking about it ever since I came to Palestine lats time. "Habibi next time you see me, put that color back in your hair!" I know a lot of girls I know irl have guys who don't notice anything. So I love it that my habibi is so appreciative:) He's so sweet like that:)
8. dr appt this afternoon

ugh...no time for sleep. And oh yeah I'm going to download new music this whole time too for my mp3 player so I can have new music to listen to on my TWENTY hour flight from NY to Amman....that's not including the commute to ny from boston:(

Where are you laying over? It's 11.5 hours from chicago to Amman direct.

I have a SEVEN hour layover in Madrid on the way over;( And I have a 7 hour in Romania (of all places, lol) coming back.
What stinks about it is i cannot really leave the airport to go sightsee or even do anything. It's pointless. By the time I get through EU immigration to go in, leave the airport, WHAM...it's time to go back because I'd have to exit EU immigration and then check back through security.
So..........anyone know any ideas on how to occupy myself at the airport? This flight is going to stink horribly:( And I don't think my phone will work in Europe to call habibi or anything because verizon is not compatible with europe. (but then again, it was not supposed to ahve been compatible with Israel either, lol)

How long does it take to get through EU immigration? I went in and out in Amsterdam every time I passed through there because of the 8-hour layover. I just got a locker at the airport and stashed my carry-on, took my passport, tickets, and money (and camera) and passed out of immigration in about 10 minutes or less... then on the way back I made sure to start trying to go back about 3- 4 hours before my flight. It took less time to get back in than normal people because i had my tickets already and the boarding pass... and then I just had to go through standing in line-- not much junk to fool with because I paid for the locker.

Nice.....I did not think about lockers at airports. but then again, I've never had a 7 hour layover. I'll give that a whirl in Madrid. I haven't been back to Spain since I was 16. It'll be kina neat to see it again! I'll have to find out what is close to the airport though so I don't wander aimlessly and get lost, lol

Yep! That's exactly what you do. Look at the airport schematic online, see if they have lockers. Next, you figure out if there is somehting either nextto the airport to see... or... if there is a train that goes into the airport (like Schiphol has in Amsterdam). If there is a train, figure out how much it is and also look at the Airport diagram again and figure out where the money exchange is Figure out where the train goes, what you want to see on its route, and how long it takes to get there-- several airports actually have this either linked to their sites OR it's on the city site for tourism-- how long it takes to get from point A to B. If you can plan a decent excursion for 3-4 hours, you may as well go. Otherwise, I suggest falling asleep in the airport if you can do somehting, I'd print it out and carry on your printouts so you haev them with you. Really helpful when you are in the mind-fog of travel.

Im gettig ready to leave for work...the baby is falling asleep listening to the vacuum, i hate bringing him to the sitter when hes screaming, so this will calm him down...My sister her BF and their 2 dogs are coming in today.and this time its for over 10 days...she has NO baby smarts, and NO maternal instincts and yet, i am going to let her watch zaid tomorrow for a few hours..i have to work 8-4 and hubby was offered overtime so...i figure its a good time for my sis to learn!! lol

Im really quite tired of rain. We didnt have a real spring because it was way too cold when it should have been warm, then we get all this rain and humidity...sigh.

Hi everybody,

Today is final exam study day for me...but I do have a question. We want to have a real wedding here at least by our 3rd aniversary..b/c we did not get to do things as we liked in egypt...I really love the egypt wedding dresses especially the ones that are so decorated and colorful, u know what I mean? Some of them are white with color, or just really decorated and I have never seen anything like them here. I got my old wed dress from a store(aboudi??) in Cairo but I am in love with the colorful ones, and we will marry again in a rose garden and I really want to get one of those dresses for it. Anyways, I cant afford to go to eg with my husband or for the next couple years..so I was going to ask him to take pics of the ones they have and give him my measurements to get it for me. He is leaving on Jul 3. Is this a bad idea or do you think that it could be tailored here if its not exactly right? WHo shoulc I go to get measured for this or do I do it myself? Does anyone knwo how much those colorful dresses cost? Will 1,000 be enough or what?
my old dress wasnt too much but it was nice so 1,000 seems liek you could get a realy nice one? What do u think?

PS-are there any other good stores for dresses to check out in Cairo?

I must confess, I have gotten hooked on a new game site, now the sad thing is, mostly children play the games, but I love this new game. If anyone asks my age, I am now 10 years old.

Me too, I've been on Braingle playing these games with mostly kids, I think. But they're really fun, I swear!

I just try not to chat with the kiddies, but the new one is gaiaonline, they have all these games, and you have to get gold and buy stuff. The fishing game is super hard, trying to figure it out, they have solts, pinball, jigsaws, I so love it. I have to say the other night my right arm was so sore from hours of playing these kiddie games. So now my secret it out, but at least I am in good company. lol

apparently it's still in the works of being in the news. Boston.com does not have anythign on it. I hope everything is ok.

Now we are getting thunderstorms. I woke up to crash, crash, crash kaboom. (yep I broke my rule and slept after all and overslept. I don't plan on sleeping tonight anyways cuz I go to work early tomorrow). Poor habibi tried to call me to wake me up a million times in vain:(

So last night, my husband came home from work and I took off his name tag and set it on the kitchen table. We then proceeded to the sofa and watched the tube.

This morning he says to me, "Where is my name tag?" so I told him it was on the table. He goes and says it isnt there. So I asked him if he moved it, he said he didn't and that I moved it which I DIDNT.

So anyway................I start looking around the house and can't find it anywhere. So he finally left without it but insisted that I was the one that lost it.

He just called to tell me he had it in his pocket the whole time but he forgot.
