Do I have to make a copy of my entire package to keep? I have all of the originals of course. Does anyone else do this to know exactly what they sent?

Thanks

Having copies of everything is useful in the event that an RFE is generated, sometimes something gets lost at the service center.

You don't have to, but it is certainly advisable.

We copied everything except the pictures and our tax returns. Just so we know the exact order of documents that was submitted in case we need to go over it in the future.

We have electronic copies of our tax returns that we can print out if necessary.

Including the pictures in our submission was a last-minute decision, and we regret not making copies because now we have to sort through thousands of jpg files to print those that we pulled out of photo albums.

It is always advisable to have a complete copy of what was sent to any government agency.

I have a copy of all of the unique items and a definitive list of the originals that was sent. Since my package was nearly 3 inches thick, I didn't want to copy everything - but I can produce an exact duplicate of the package if need be from what I did copy and the originals which I have kept in a separate file rather than re-filing them where they belong.

Ryan and I made complete copy of everything before we handed it in to Seattle for AOS, and before mailing our I-751 application to CSC. I think its a good idea, in case of any RFEs, you know exactly what you sent off!

My lawyer sent copies (even pictures). I kept originals. Lawyer's file has a copy too.
