Heu guys/gals. I know this is a little early but I want all my ducks in a row early on. I have been seeing much vaccinations questions being brought up and this has given me a few questions.

First off my wife is 8 weeks pregant and from what I have researched most of the vacs are not advisiable with pregant woman. My wife has no record of her vacs as a child. Will she be able to enter the US without the vacs or will she have to wait 6 or 7 months after the visa to get them first. I know I just started the CR1 journey but from time lines I see, it could be close within a month or so of giving birth. My wife doesnt want the vacs as she wants to breast feed our child.

Does anyone have any idea to this? Thanks!@
PS I looked at this site http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/in...cinations_are_1 and didnt see anything about pregancy other then chest x-rays. I searched the forums here also and didnt find anything clear cut.

In case of pregnancy the panel physician may conceed a waiver on vaccinations and she may have tehm later in the US.
Here's what you have to do, call one of the panel physicians available in Manila and ask about this.

Aalso check in this guides for Manila if there's anything mentioned about it, since I don't understand the language, I can't tell waht it says, but I've read about some waiver right on the bottom of the last page, it says "Waiver sa Bakuna". Check whether or not it is about pregnancy.

Hi RMNCM, we also got our case approved on the same date and still waiting for the interview date. That's why we are wondering about getting those vaccines early. Here is some information I received today form another member:What are the required vaccinations for the CR-1 visa?

Immigrant Visa vaccination requirements are found here, however no one needs to have every vaccine on the list, as some are age and gender specific. Anyone in the 18-64 age group (as I'm sure 95% of us are) will need the following:

- Tetanus Diphtheria Pertussis (TDP) or Tetanus Diphtheria (TD)
- Mumps/Measles/Rubella (MMR)*
- Varicella (Chickenpox)*
- Hepatitis B: if age 18 or under
- Influenza: if age 50 or older
- Human Papillomavirus (Gardasil): females ages 11 to 26

* not required if pregnant
