Hello,

I had my medical last friday, and my interview on the following monday which went pretty well. Now, I know you need your chest x-ray at the point of entry into the US. This wasn't mentioned at my interview, and I largely forgot about it until now. Will this be sent along with my visa?
I opted for the £35 option, next day delivery - given that they won't get my medical results until today at the earliest, at what point should they send my visa along?

Thanks,

Jack.

I just saw hubby's the other day & was thinking we need to make some art out of it....

ohhhhh careful, the x-ray is one of those topics that someone always pipes up and says that you have it with you in your hand luggage. The info that came with my visa is that you have to have it with you, but in your checked luggage is fine.

After that you can join the competition for the most creative use of the chest x-ray laughing.gif

Your chest xray will be sent along to the embassy at the same time as your medical results. Assuming everythings ok, then the visa will approved and your visa, MBE and chest xray will be delivered to you by courier in the same package. I actually had my interview before my medical (though both on the same day) and everything that I needed was delivered to me within a week.

I found my boy's on Sunday while I was sorting out important papers to take in the car. Am I a total dork for bringing it along instead of making art instead? blush.gif

One thing to remember is that there is no one at the border qualified to interpret an x-ray anyway. That's what the medical report contains, where it is all written in lovely, simple English for the IO to read, in the wonderfully mysterious envelope that in no way resembles the colour of 4 day old bogeys.

So, basically, pack it in your checked baggage if you want to. Pack it in your hand baggage if you feel a bit worried, and later on you can use it as a stained glass window in your lounge.
