Hello. My wife went to the passport office in India and they are telling her they need to see a letter with CASE # in order to request the PCC. The only thing I have is USCIS Receipt Notice and Approval Notice. My wife took both letters and they said they need a letter with CASE #. My DS-3032 and AOS Bill was sent on 6/23/08 by NVC. Please Help. Thanks

My wife just the NAO2 approval notice to get her PCC from passport office in Surat Gujarat and she did same for the local police district PCC also.

You can try creating cover letter for DS-230 using James's shortcuts. Also print out NVC Instruction from this Link. Send you wife to police station and make sure that she tells that NOA2 Case No. and DS-230 Cover sheet case No. matches.

Someone was able to get PCC about a month ago using these steps. Good luck.

Thats right, In some cities and passport offices they require the evidence of approval and immigration services, so you just can present the approval notice. that is just for their refrence that you are under process of immigration or visa services, not faking for something or wasting their time.....(that was told by police official)

Actually i am kind a scared from police clearance word.. it wasted my almost three week..otherwise i can have my interview scheduled in JULY.. so be careful while filling the Missalaneous form(EAP-2) for passport office, dont forget to fill country's name(USA)...even if you dont see any column for it.

My wife went to the Passport Office with the I-130 Approval Notice and AOS Bill I had emailed her which had the Case Number on it from the website. Now the Passport Office is saying, she needs to show the Police Certificate letter/form which comes with DS-Packet. Which DS-Packet is this? DS-230? Will a letter/form come with this DS-230? Alternately, you can ask your wife to print out packet 3 information from Mumbai consulate http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/uploads/imag...ET_PACKET_3.pdf and show it to police station.

Usually passport office/police office will give your wife to fill this form. She can take it prefilled to passport office/police office http://passport.gov.in/cpv/miscell.pdf
