The notice we got from USCIS regarding the expedite request said:

Your request for expeditious processing of the I-130's WAC-XX-XXX-XX409 & WC-XX-XXX-XXX430 was granted and the petition is now in process.

I noticed immediately that the two receipt numbers here are different from the one we have on the NOA1 WAC-XX-XXX-XX579, my husband thinks may be they are reference numbers for the expedite request and a request to amend a typo error earlier.

But, I got curious a few minutes ago, I just added this two receipt numbers onto the USCIS Case Status Service, and hold and below, surprise, surprise,....this is what I got...

WAC-XX-XXX-XX409

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 20, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 blah, blah, ....

WC-XX-XXX-XXX430 ( i have to add an "A" to WAC-XX-XXX-XXX430)

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 20, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 blah, blah, ...

WAC-XX-XXX-XX579

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On June 24, 2008, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 blah, blah, ...

Now, do we have an approval or do we have an pending RFE? To say I am confused is an understatement!

Anyone experienced this before? Can receipt numbers changed half way through the process?

Leah who has a migraine right now.

Guess no one knows anything about this.

Hi Leah, I can't help you with info about similar situations. But after getting our expedite request for K-3 approved, we received NOA2 messages with the exact same CIS numbers like the ones on both NOA1. So I do not think that expedites change any reference numbers.
Hope you get this straightened out soon.

Also, did you file for two I-130? Otherwise, why would they send you approval notices for two of such petitions.
I would call the Senator/Congressman's aid that helped you, if you got help, or at least try and get an answer out of CIS themselves, maybe via that RFE line?

Those are the last three digits of my petitions....maybe your expedite request was granted for my petitions..... Just kidding...hope it's nothing to worry about and you see a few approvals soon.

Last three digits of both I-130 match yours?
May be they did mess up, you never know with these jokers.
We have only one I-130 filed and the approval notice for expedite request mentioned two!!

I emailed the congress aide about the concern, hope he get in touch with my husband and sort this out soon.

Nope, we only have ONE I-130 petition.

They certainly do look like they mess up. Aargh...
