Hello everyone. I have filled K-1 visa for my fiance who is in India. I just wanted to know what documents she should be gathering for the 1st interview. I know she will be getting a packet listing those things but it will be better if we can get head start on those items while we are waiting to get that packet and thus, reducing time for the process. And does anyone know how long does it take for the interview letter to come. I filled the visa early May 2008. If anyone here has worked with an embassy over in India, that will be greatly helpful but all feedbacks are welcome and thank you for your help.

What Consulate are you going through? You can go to the website and there is a lot of info on what is needed for the interview there. For instance the Chennai Consulate K1 interview info is here:

Please also see "Embassy Info" at the top of the page. Click on India and you will find a lot of specific info on each Consulate in India:
