My fiancee made the interview, got rejected for lack of a form from the IRS .I sent form to her in a weeks time. She walked backed in the Consulate, turned in required tax paper( transcript ) at window (cool.gif they then did her fingerprints.NOW the kicker ??she was told maybe 1 week, maybe 2,maybe 3,maybe 4.

Fingerprints need to be sent to the United states for ???

Anyone have any idea about this situtation??
Is it common to send prints to the states ?
Where do I e-mail or ask about her case ??

And before she leaves Vietnam is there any papers I should Hong gather to make this process go better onces she arrives??

Thanks

Hi there,

I'm not sure about the fingerprint stuffs because I had mine taken just 1 time, that is during my interview.

Maybe you could contact the US Embassy in Vietnam Here

I would suggest that she brings all important documents such as birth certificate (with translations), etc, and maybe even her school diploma if she plans on going back to school sometimes in the States.

Good luck! rose.gif

maybe 5, maybe 10, maybe 20, maybe 40.

None of us knows the specifics of your case, but so far the reaction by the consulate seems to fit the pattern of someone who is going to wait a long time.

I can tell you that my (wife) had to wait for a second FBI check for her name verification which we were told would take 7 to 10 days and it took 1 month. The difference in our cases is that they never asked us to submit anything else after the interview.
