I got 10 approval emails and 2 Welcome to America letters (the letters had dates of 05/01 and 05/11). Oh, Greencard - where art thou?

I received one last week, about 2 1/2 weeks after entering the US. Quite disappointing because it's only a piece of paper and not nearly as interesting as the Welcome to the USA-brochure I received at immigration. Still waiting for my GC, though, which I need to recover my driver's license.

I got one "Welcome to America " Letter and a letter from the Prez congratulating us on our Wedding.

Mahmoud received 2 "Welcome to America" letters.... seems a lot of people get more than one.

The green card arrived automatically one month after his entry.

But as far as the Social Security card.... even though he'd checked that little box on the DS-230, we still had to make a visit to the Social Security office to get that process moving.

You deserved the letter from the President.
I forget but I think that you were posting a lot in Winter of 05 and they were giving you a rough time with your K-1, so congrats that it's finally over...
