Hello fellow VJers. star_smile.gif
How are you doing today?

I have a quick question.

So, when a cese gets sent out to NVC, does our case status get updated (touched) online?
I really appreciate if you can tell me your experience (whether your case was touched or not.)

Thank you for your time and help. smile.gif

Mine was touched the day it went to NVC. Click on my timeline to see my touches recorded.

You can call the NVC and they will tell you when they got it, when it left there, and your new case number if that's what you're wanting to know.

A status that says your application is approved should appear when you check your status again. After it is approved by USCIS, it's when the case is forwarded to NVC.

i don't think there is a rule regarding post NOA2 touches,
we got touched the day after...but i really doubt they sent it out to NVC that early. I heard they are sending files to a mailing room and they go out in very few days... But i don't think you would see a touch exactly when your file left for NVC.
The only way to find out if your petition is there is to call NVC. we didn't call, but we received a letter from NVC saying that our case is being forwarded to the embassy.

Good luck!

My case went to the NVC on June 6th shortly after being approved on June 2nd. The USCIS Website still shows as of yesterday that we are still waiting for approval. So, don't put complete trust in the USCIS Website being updated with current information. At least in my case it was not.

The simple answer to your question is, "NO" ... No more update online. Case go out to foreign US Embassy abroard for further processing!!!

Hi all.

Thanks a lot for your replies. star_smile.gif

Yea... You are right. we cannot really trust USCIS updates... I forgot that I learned that from waiting for NOA2. lol
Our case got approved on June 11th and the case status online shortly changed to the one that said our case was approved. We called NVC twice last week, but they have not received our case yet.
Some fellow VJers are waiting about a month for their cases to reach NVC.
So, I was curious whether there is any good way to find out whether our case was sent out to NVC from CSC.
Yea, I agree that the files are stuck at the mailing room at CSC. When we received an RFE, our letter was stuck at the mailing room for about two weeks to be sent out....
I guess I will keep calling NVC.

Thanks a lot for your advices. smile.gif

Have a good day wink.gif
