I hope this new acting head will do more than talk good.gif

Immigrants petitions are stuck due to the "numerical limit" as per his words... Then how about the immediate relatives of the U.S citizens, are they numerically limited ??? They confuse people, we are also eating the same bread and butter, as these barking dogs eat devil.gif

2 years back, K-3 visa used to get approvals in 2 months time and I-130 at the most 6 months. Now, both are taking more than 6 months, 9 months and inching to 1 year... Just because of the luck (may be illiterate new USCIS employee hire, and they were not aware of FIFO system) only, we got our approval faster, nothing great in it...

Anyway, I know we can just bark only to this snail pace bureaucratic department, it is high time to be outsourced...

Its high time USCIS outsource this work to India, we all can see aprrovals coming faster. The reason is because people in India really work(look at outsourcing success of US corporations) unlike these idiots at VSC. They are a menace to the society and waste of tax money. By outsourcing USCIS can reduce overhead cost asscociated with processing and reduce the fees also resulting in speedy approvals.

It would be kind of weird outsourcing future American citizens files to be processed in another country.

I don't think it would need to be outsourced to another country but maybe to a private company. At least there is more accountability. If they don't get the work done, they don't get the contract and another faster, more efficient organization can take over. That's the beauty of competition. USCIS has no incentives to be productive and efficient.

I just like the irony of thinking about outsourcing to India. Of course it could never happen.

I go back and forth about naturalization. There's probably something wrong with a country chock full of people who are almost citizens yet denied citizen's rights because of government delays. OTOH, there's something wrong with a country that prevents families from being together... but of course more PRs means more future citizens to be backlogged. What if my husband promises never to file for citizenship? We promise not to add to the backlog and they promise to start processing applications in FIFO order. tongue.gif

Whats this FIFO you speak of, I only thought it was a myth

A myth, a dream... sadly, yes.

If FIFO is a dream, LIFO is a truth...

Last In First Out (like stack) is the reality now. I have seen somebody who withdrew old application and filed a new one, believing in LIFO !!!
