i recently turned in my I-864
and received a package from NVC with a Letter with CHECKLIST.

Stating I am missing DS-230

I was waiting on all the necessary Docs from my wife to be sent over.
So thats why I wasn't able to send it yet. My question is on the Checklist letter, It states a "Priority Date: 20JUL2007"

Can anyone tell me what this is? Could this be the date that USCIS received the I-130 form?

This is normal, about your missing DS-230. Of course they are missing it, you have not sent it yet
For Priority Date - you are correct again,
this is the date when USCIS acknowledged your application.

you dont need to worry about the checklist just to remind you that they are waiting for your DS230 which will be the final forms requirefrom you and the priority date is the day your I-130 was approved so goodluck. i guess no problem with your I-864. so whenever you are ready to summit the DS-230 you can do so

as of now I have sent the DS-230 and iit's been accepted. My case is closed.

I was informed by the automated voice response system that case is complete.

I then called to hear some old guy saying that in august is busy and there will not be any interview dates scheduled and blah blah blah which doesn't really make sense to me. and very unpleasant for me to listen to....

also sounded as though he was reading from a paper.

pissed me off when i heard that. that only means one thing to me...MORE DELAYS....

on the record, my case was completed on July 14th.

I was expecting an interview date in a month in August 14th or so, but he said to check back in mid august to see if schedule date is available.
