Yes it can't be printed the whole conversation when you print it directly from the message archive, UNLESS you copy and paste it to MS word or notepad before you print it.

thank you Shape for the help with both my questions i hope you have a good day mike

you could consider doing screenshots of the archive. depending on which view you are using (specific chat on a certain date or the list of all chats by date with that user) you could show with the list of chats by date a consistent pattern of talking to your so. i provided several pages worth of screenshots of the by date with user list (about 6-10 months worth of chats) along with about 6-12 individual ones.

You can save it to a Text file then print it. At the end of your conversation, just click "File", "Save As" on the chat window.

you dont have to take pic of the screen to get a screen shot... just go to the dates you want shown then:

1. press Alt, Print Screen Sys Rq (usually this is found on the upper right tabs of your keyboard, beside scroll lock) when you do this it will seem that nothing is happening but proceed to the next step anyway

2. click start button then open Paint (it will be under accessories)

3. when you have the Paint window open, click edit and then click paste.

4. you can now print it or you can save it and do screen shots of the rest.

another way of doing it will be to save your chat logs in your hard drive and then print it out but if you do this it will transform into plain text, you wont be able to see icons and etc.

btw, the i just printed first pages of our selected chat logs.. then proceeded to print first pages of other dates... i ended up with more than enough chat logs.. which unfortunately, the consul didn't even care to see.. i used the screen shots method with yahoo call logs and skype call logs and skype chat logs.

one page per chat log date will suffice, just do one page for several dates.. even if they will ask for it, they wont really read it, they will just check that you do have constant communication.

Good luck and God bless.

the below are instructions i'd provided in another forum in the past regarding this:

open up microsoft paint several times, open up your archive and get the archive window pretty much full screen. go thru the archive and line up things on the top and press the key "print screen" and then go to one of the ms paint programs you have open. at the top of the ms paint select edit and then paste, it will then paste your screenshot there for you. you can do a bit of cleanup on the screenshot by using the tools on the left side, in particular the top right one to outline the part you want and copy it again, and then go to another opened paint and paste it again. you may have to do this several times to get the hang of it, but once you do get the hang of it go to file - then save as and save it to your desktop as whateverfilename.jpg
the reason i specify a jpg is it takes up less disk space, just in case you need to email it sometime down the road.
once you have the method figured out (it takes some practice getting things adjusted just right for a screenshot), plus refining your copy and paste into a final product, it will go fairly quick. you might want to name the files something meaningful, like aug_sep2007.jpg, sep_oct2007.jpg, and so on.
