Haole
I have a friend [immigrant wife] who is getting her US Citizenship and wants to bring her parents to the US using I-130s. She is married with one child born in the US.

How many people does she have to be able to support? Does child and hubby count also? Is hubbies income usable?
Otherwise: What are the monetary requirements she must show to meet the Minimum Poverty Guideline?

Using I-864 - I think children & spouse (in same household) havee to included in household size (together with intending immigrant). But then spouse's income can also be included in household income calculation using I864-A form.

Intending immigrant: 2
Original HH: 3 (self, spouse, child)

Total HH size: 5

Using 2008 125% poverty guideline: $31k

I hope I got it right. It's been a while biggrin.gif
