My fiancee's interview was in Dakar, Senegal and his visa was approved but he had to redo his medical test results as they expired in 10 days. He was told to drop those off and his passport would be held too for a couple of days and visa placed inside. He was told he would not need an appointment to drop those off. Would that mean he can just walk into the embassy any day the consular section is open and do that? The people at the embassy did not tell him any details. Hopefully someone on this site has been to the same embassy.
