next time you're in the drive through, ask them if you can get your meal to go. The reaction is priceless.

Drive thru... Burger King... Hubby didn't think of fixing anything because he didn't know what I wanted. The next day, that's when he made up for it and fixed all-American food.

Hmmmm... we have drive thru in Pinas so we're not really new to this. But if it's just to make yourself or them crack up, why not.

When I got here, I stayed with my Tito Boy for a few days where my then-fiance picked me up cross-country. Hehe. So, my first meal was actually leftover chicken adobo. With rice, of course.

This is a funny poll because I remember my husband's first meal (so I voted on behalf of him).
He ate a huge cheeseburger with fries from Applebees, and he really liked it. I was in Brazil with my hubby and my best friend picked us up from the airport and we were starving. We drove from Miami to Jupiter (West Palm) before we sat down to eat. It was a great meal - topped off with my husband's first taste of Budweiser, which he still prefers to this day.

I think we ended up eating at some truck stop McDonald's on the way back to Indy. I really don't remember that well.

Javi's first meal was ribs at Fatz. He had requested we eat there when he got back so we did just that. Got off the plane in Charlotte, drove to Morganton, and ate at Fatz.

she's been eating chinese since she was born, you have to introduce her to american food, like something typically american, like pizza hut or one of the billion fat food chains, like Burger King, or mexican-american food like Taco Bell.

Take her out for a nice meal at a good, local restaurant. Or cook for her at home. She may be tired from traveling. There will be plenty of time for fast food in the years to come.

Nor funyuns, either.

He got here at like 10pm, his flight from Miami to Tampa kept getting delayed. He was hungry and tired so his first US meal was a 7 layer burrito from Taco Bell through the drive through.

He liked it. The next day he had some better food.
