We arrived about 7:45 in the morning. A gentlemen checked the paperwork out front as to the purpose of our visit. We were then let in and asked to wait with many other people in the Immigrant Visa room. We were told to expect a wait of about 4 hours. Aorund 8:15 my wife was called up to window 11 where they collected her photos and passport as well as her medical exam. She was then told to have a seat. At about 9:15 my wife was called to window 12 where she was asked approximately 5 questions.

1. Where and when did you meet?
2. Do you have any family in the United States?
3. When was the last time your spouse visited?
4. When was the first time he visited?
5. Do you have any photos and can we see them?

She answered all the questions and was then asked to have a seat and wait to be called to the interview and that I could accompany her. While we waited she told me all the questions they asked. At about 9:45 we were called to room 15. A young man probably in his late 20's or early 30's got on his computer and started to type. He asked me questions in english and my wife in spanish although he knew we could both speak spanish. He asked me the exact same questions they asked my wife earlier. They also asked me where we planned to live and what I did for a living. He had my wife sign the DS230 part 2 form and then took her prints. He said we were approved.......that's pretty much it. Take some reading material and relax........i'll be posting this in the embassy review section...

Thanks to everyone here on the forums.....and good luck to all....I'm glad the wait is finally over.

Lucky you, si man!!! Check out the Latin American regional forum under "US Consulate in Guayaquil, Ecuador" for the trouble that others are having, and count your blessings. Again, congratulations!
