Heya Bill, good to read this update. I went the other way and submitted the DS-3025 from the medical in Moscow. I'll keep you posted as to whether or not we get an RFE from this. Good to hear you got it for free (something for free finally, huh?!)!
Give Tanya and Viktor our best.

Thanks Kevin,
They are sitting behind me now and Tanya and I just got back from a day trip to Destin, FL including SanDestin & Seaside (where the Truman Show was filmed). I stopped by the SSA office and the Drivers License office and was informed twice that I would have to wait until AOS is complete before name change can be accomplished. I know this is bogus but did not feel like the fight today. I will take it up with Tallahassee next week. Oddly when I entered Tanya's ID number into their automatic system is said that her drivers license was approved and would I like them to FAX me the approval. Tanya has never driven a car so of course I answered yes and gave my FAX number at work. I can't wait to see what I receive from Tallahasee on this issue!!! I will just die if they OK her DL without her ever driving or taking a test.
New project... peacock came from nowhere and now lives in our yard. Tanya and Victor have only seen a peacock in the Rostov zoo so they think it has chosen to live with us by the will of God and I need to get off my butt and build it a home. I bought 50' x 50' of netting today on ebay and am planning a pvc enclosure for it. I have no clue as to how I am going to get 1 each peacock into 1 each enclosure but I will give it a try or at least make it appear that I gave it my best shot. I am not thrilled about having a very loud bird living outside. I told them the best peacock is one served with a little curry. They did not appreciate the humor. I figure if the peacock goes on the lam then I can get a couple of rabbits or something that they will be happy with. Maybe a parrot or two???
It was great getting something free for a change and a huge relief getting the I-485 package completed and mailed. Hoefully soon we will have our appointment though I am still peeved that we must go to Jacksonville rather than New Orleans. Government bureacracy is going to cost me at least 600 miles. Oh well, I am tired of fighting City Hall. I'll be happy when the journey is at last at an end.
