Hi! I am adjusting status, and I am filling I-130 and I-485 concurently. I want to apply for permission of traveling, although I do not have any trips planned. When filling out the form it asks when I am traveling and where... Can you not apply unless you are planning a trip??? Any help would be appreciated!!!

a lot of people include a letter explaining why they want AP. I made a list of reasons why I wanted AP, including visiting family, in case something happens to my elderly grandparents, our tentative plans to go home for a wedding reception party with our family, and the possibility of my best friend getting married (which at the time was a real possibility). Others have listed wanting to go on a honeymoon or travel in general, and other things. I gave a tentative date as far as that was concerned, others have stated "undetermined".

I saw somewhere on here where someone put "to be determined" and it was accepted.

You can file without any specific plan! good.gif

And, according to I-131 instruction, as long as you file with I-485, the explanation is not required actually. Filing with AOS is the reason. (If you file separately, you have to include I-485 NOA1)
I didn't include any attachment and was approved. I put date on the form though, just for avoiding blank blush.gif

I was wondering about that as well. I am starting to really get the forms ready so once we are married it's ready to send off. I was just going to put down my Christmas vacation dates in case we want to travel out of country then. We live so close to Canada that it would be nice to even take a day trip.

Thanks for the info!
