I was going to place on the I-134 the exact income amount that my employee letter states, but it is a bit less (few thousand) than what my 1040 income tax return states. Either way, its well above poverty level. The 1040 is higher from working some overtime. Is it ok that the two do not match ???

The USEM didn't even care to look at my Employer Letter. I was kind of dissapointed. My supervisor spent so much time preparing it......They really wished to see the I-134 and tax records.

I think its ok to state less income on the I-134 than what my 1040 says...since I did some overtime last year....thats why my employee letter stating my annual income is a bit less than the 1040. Im sticking with what the employee letter says.....Its plenty. Anyone have any ideas or input?????? blink.gif

It is absolutely ok. Ryan's ITR and the amount of his salary written on the employment certification didn't match either. Although he reminded me that if the screener/interviewer asks why it didn't match, I will tell them that it's because of his overtime pay. They really didn't ask me about it. blink.gif

Good luck! good.gif
