Not sure if any of you remember me making a post last Oct when my niece was born. This is my brother's firstborn, so it was naturally a very exciting time for us on both continents.

More than 7 months have passed, and this is the latest picture of her that my brother took. He also proudly announced Trisha now has two tiny front teeth.

Trisha can now roll on to her stomach, but hasn't quite figured out how to undo that yet. In a video that my brother took of her, she was seen grabbing at the sheets furiously as she tried to work it out. It made me laugh like crazy.

lol Gimy, you are right - she ain't no peanut anymore. biggrin.gif We are also extremely relieved that she is looking even more like her mom instead of her dad. In the wise and funny words of my husband, "Thank God she doesn't have your brother's ugly mug." laughing.gif

Every time I look at that picture, my heart just warms up instantly and I have this goofy smile all over my face. It also makes me ache to hold her. My brother asked me to take close-up photos of Brandon and me and e-mail them to him, and he will put them up on his desktop and show Trisha often that she has an aunt and uncle many miles away.

My brother had also sent a rather blurry close-up of Trisha's two front teeth. It's so amazing. Can hardly believe it's been 7 months since I heard that loud wailing over the phone when my brother played back the video of her first few minutes outta her mommy's womb. Horridly corny as this may sound, seeing Trisha's photos kinda reins in the cynicism and jadedness I occasionally feel towards the world in general. I wonder if parents feel this way too? Must be awesome. smile.gif

What an adorable little moppet... looking at her big grin and radiant expression of happiness made me feel warm and fuzzy - it's infectious happiness!
