It is with utmost joy and happiness that I am writing this note. I am one of those that do enjoy coming to this site to share in the joys, sorrows, agonies and ultimately hapiness of everyones journey. I cannot deny that everybody has a unique and personal experience as regards their journey with the immigration process. I do respect them for that and cannot interject into their own life experiences.

That being said, I cannot call myself a true son of the soil if i keep quiet and see my name and those of so many millions being dragged in the mud. It is believed that all of us are adults and that whatever choices that we make we have to be able to live with them irrespective of the outcome.

So be it known, that before I married my beautiful wife and had our son, I had dated women from different ethnic backgrounds, races and creeds. I came out of those relationships with so much knowledge, both good and bad. It is my belief that I should have learnt from my experiences and be able to use them for my future benefit. I am not going to come out here and start bashing older women, or younger women, or skinny women or plus sized women just because out of my own poor decision-making I found myself in a quagmire.

In summary, I am a Nigerian man and very proud of who I am. It is not all Nigerian men that are scammers. And finally, if you dare get into a serious relationship without proper investigation and information, then dont blame anybody. We have a saying " a he-goat that goes to a fight with his horns, has to make sure that he has a strong and sturdy neck".

There are not a lot of men who post on here, let alone Nigerian men so I applaud you for stepping forward and telling us about how you are getting along. I understand that some people may not have pleasant experiences with their SOs, no matter where they are from, but the generalizations put it over the top.

Thank you for posting Chinemeze good.gif

Thank you for your post. I agree with what you wrote and admire your composure, honesty and integrity. For those who aren't strong enough to say it themselves, I apologize to you for generalizations that are insulting to your culture and your background.

I have just read your post and I must commend you for your honesty and integrity. I hope and pray that none of my posts concerning my own personal story has not offended you. I do not condone ethnic bashing of any sort and tend to recognize a situation for what it is. If two come together and then split, origin has nothing to do with it, one should be personally accountable for his or her own decisions and end results. But again, I thank you for your post.

Thanks for posting, I want to say to you that I would Never bash your any anyones country because I don't know all the people within any one country. I have Nigerian friends even one that I met on this site and we call each other from time to time. I'm the mother of a first born half Nigerian son therefore have ties to Nigeria. My beef is with only one person from Nigeria, and I have to tell the truth, regardless of what others may try to make it sound like.

Truth be told, it's just nice to read from a Nigerian man glad to hear things are well with your family.
