My dad is joint sponsoring my husband with me, but he's kind of nervous about how open-ended and long term the agreement is. I'm wondering if I can become the only sponsor of my husband after a few years have passed and I have enough money to support him myself. I'm a student, but as soon as I get a good job I'm sure I'll fit the requirements by myself. I haven't seen anything that says I can take my dad off the contract, though, unless my husband becomes a citizen or works for about 10 years in the U.S.
