Hi there,

Yes, you need to get her to Pay Delbros in advance of the interview for them to submit the documents to the NSO. I believe the fee is 650 pesos for it.

Read the guide that the sherrif has posted (and pinned) and your answers will be there

but to quote that part of the guide

"4.5 DOCUMENT VERIFICATION: For a step-by-step guide to the document verification process, [CLICK HERE] (Thx EricC). Per the USE website [CLICK HERE], "Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified. In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant (with an additional P50 processing fee) [a/o Feb 2008]. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please [CLICK HERE]. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application." In order to locate a Metrobank near you [CLICK HERE]. After the document verification fee is paid, please text Delbos at (0917) 5555-313 and key-in as follows [IN ALL CAPS]: USE/CASE NO./LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME MIDDLENAME/BRANCH NAME/DATE OF DEPOSIT/TIME OF DEPOSIT/AMOUNT DEPOSIT

For example - USE/MNL123456789/DELA CRUZ, JUAN PABLO SANTOS/MANDAUE CITY/11NOV2007/11:45AM/PHP1300

The beneficiary will receive a confirmation text from Delbros stating, "This is to acknowledge the deposit you made. We confirm your payment to the document verification as required by the US Embassy. Thank you. Delbros delivers!" If the beneficiary texted the format incorrectly, Delbros will send a text message stating, "Incomplete information or Invalid format" in which case the beneficiary is required to re-text Delbros using the correct format. It is further recommended that the beneficiary call Delbros directly at 2-339-2761 to ensure the results of the document verification are sent to the USE prior to the visa interview. In preparation for the visa interview, please bring the original receipt (from Metrobank as back-up) and a copy to give the USE in order to validate the payment of the document verification fee was paid as part of the required documents."

First, wait for the case number assigned by NVC. when you have it, you may call 1-909-101-7878 for visa interview appoinment, pay the document verification and have medical appointment prior to the interview. so....if you have the case number you may get into the line...smile.gif

Have your sweetie text Delbros at least a month before her interview or she has a good chance of ending up on AR.

Here's a quote from US Embassy website that somewhat explains Doc verification.

It's BS. We paid for Document Verification back in March and they still didn't verify the docs when my fiancee had her interview last week. My fiancee even called Delbros to confirm they'd received her text, but they obviously didn't do anything. Thank you DELBROS for not doing your job and placing us under AR Document Verification. Delbros does a horrible job!

I paid my document verification 10th of June and text Delbros right away and I received their confirmation that they received my payment etc etc. Then I called Delbros and talked to Robbie and asked if the USEM forwarded my papers already to them.At first he don't want to answer my question,he told me that the inquiries are through their hotline number which is 0917-622-1949 coz they dont accept calls anymore for inquiries on document verification. So I told him that I did sent a txt twice already on June 12th and the only answer I got is that they are currently verifying my message and that they will get back at me soon. Then,he asked my case number and my complete name and then I heard him typing typing and then he said that my papers is already transmitted to NSO and it will take 1 to 4 weeks to verified and then the NSO will forwarded it back to USEM.

Btw,I paid my document verification even I didnt have interview appointment yet.I just want to pay early coz I see some fellow Vj'ers here that even they paid 1 month earlier prior to their interview they still get white slip or AR.

DELBROS doesn't verify the Docs. Their job is to notify the USEM of payment. The USEM decides when and if doc verification is done.
The reason for calling DELBROS after the text message is to verify the payment confirmation was forwarded to the USEM. Ealier this year DELBROS had many issues with the text confirmation and never notified the Embassy of the payment.

If the USEM decides to do a Doc Verification then DELBROS ships the verifications requests to and from the USEM.

Thank you for the detailed clarification. Ok, I'm not upset at Delbros anymore, just the situation itself.

I agree this whole doc verification things is BS. However, I am not sure who is messin up here. It might be the US Embassy. My understanding is the US embassy decides who gets to have their docs verified and they get to decide when to do it.

In our case, and in a lot of other cases that I personally know of, the US embassy did not request doc verification. Some people I know of werent even aware of doc verification and did not pay Delbros at all.

The US embassy just suggest that you pay early so whenever and if they decide you need doc verification, you've already paid Delbros.

Im not sure what triggers doc verification but you're right. This whole thing about verifying NSO documents on NSO papers with NSO is BS!!
Jimmy and Angela
in our case Angela had a delayed BC. that is why we were sent to verification.
Yes it was frustrating and yes it seemed like forever to get thru but now it all seems like a bad dream.
You can't change the system so you just have to grin and bear it.
