Team Walsh

ARGH! I posted a while back about how my fiance went for his interview on Thursday, May 22 and our Letters of Intent were not current enough for the interviewer. We sent off updated letters the following Monday. We still have heard nothing from the embassy and Walsh has not received his visa! He called last Friday and they said they were processing and if there were any problems they would let him know. Should we call again at the beginning of next week? I really didn't expect this to take 2 1/2 weeks. We keep expecting the courier any day now. I want to book his flight!! By the way, aren't tickets crazy expensive right now?? Jeez...

Wow you must be super frustrated. I'm sure its being handled and it will be with him soon and then he will be with you forever.
In regards to the flights....GULP...yeah. I just spent £981.00 on our flights to the US for the 25th of June and another £870.00 for our two cats. Our bank balance isn't looking as nice as before. No wonder they want to make sure you can support you fiance or spouse...as much money as it costs for this whole process, you have nothing left in your savings at the end.

Since it is travel season I'm sure they have quite a bit more work than usual processing not only K1's but visitor visas as well. I wish you guys expediency from hear on out, but as long as they have it and haven't lost the copies I wouldn't worry too much (unless you have a wedding date and deposits put down!)

I called the Dept. of State yesterday and found out when my fiance's interview is. Just curious and tired of waiting on P4 to arrive in the mail. So they must be tied in to one big database. He told me London scheduled it Wednesday and the letter would probably be there next week. Maybe if you the USC called the DOS and explained your concern, they might have information about your case. If he doesn't have info then tell him your story about the one month old letter not being good enough and ask him what can be done to find out where the visa is. My guy that answered was very nice and very cheerful. They just asked for the LND2008xxxx case number and the beneficiaries name.
Dept. of State (202) 663-1225. Press 1 for first menu choice and press 0 for second to get to the live person. The messages by the automated answering recording are very long, so just skip over them.

Actually I would call SMS. They have a habit of being crap at letting you know that they have your passport

Where do you find this LND number...I was thinking about calling Dept. of State in near future but not sure where to find this case number. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!!

The LND number is found on the bottom of the letter in the packet 3 paperwork
