My wife is from Russia and is currently waiting since June 07 for her change of status to be issued(greencard). I assume that will happen soon since we have recently asked our congresswoman's office for assistance. Her parents are deceased and her Aunt is 87 years old living alone in Siberia. Her only son is dead and my wife is her next of kin. Has anyone been able to get an aunt to immigrate here? Due to her age we need to get this started. Suggestions welcomed.

Unfortunately, your wife cannot petition for an immigrant visa for her aunt. Petitions can only be made for immediate relatives (spouses, children, siblings and parents).

SORRY, but she can't not bring her aunt to the USA. I suggest that your wife send the aunt a monthly allowance to help the aunt pay someone to take care of the aunt. I do that with many family members; I don't make much, but send a lot of money overseas to many family members. Helping your aunt in Siberia is much better.
I may even go and stay with her for 3 weeks in December if she gives me a place to sleep. It would be a great experience to stay a Winter in Siberia!!!
