Hello All, I just found out that my processing center to send my ppwk to is Nebraska. As i have been reading various posts, i have read that Vermont, i believe seems to do a good job with processing times. Can anyone tell me what there experience has been with time frames going thru Nebraska???? ( i mean i know i am going to have to wait regardless, but just wanted to have a general idea)

Thanks

Nebraska was great with our petition. Only took 2 months back in 06. Wish I could say the same for the Consulate in Nigeria. They should take good care of u. Best wishes.

What visa are you filing for? Nebraska no longer processes K1's. You will either send it to Vermont or California.

Sorry for the late response, i just checked it again. I am filing K1, my SO has a typo on his birth certificate and jamaican ID, so Kingston is telling him in order to correct it, it will take 3 months!!! before he can apply for his passport, so that is putting a wrench in our plans. I live in Michigan and looked at some link which listed Nebrasa as my processing center, so how will i know whether or not to send stuff now to vermont or california??? wacko.gif

Like I said, it has been some time since Nebraska has processed I-129Fs. The directions on where to file are on the instructions for the I-129F. I am guessing that you are looking at an older version of the I-129F.

Here are the most recent directions for the I-129F: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf

And here is the most recent I-129F form: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129F.pdf

You would file at CSC.

You can actually proceed with the K1 petition and not wait for your SO to correct his birth certificate. He will need it for the embassy which with CSC can take some time to get to. Unfortunatelly with current processing times you are looking at 4 months and even longer sad.gif. Thus, he can go ahead and file for corrections while your petition is processed. Just make sure to use all correct info on the petition. Best of luck to you guys.
