We got our K-1 visa in Brussels last week.... yay!!!!

We've just bought a one-way plane ticket from Brussels to Baltimore, with her port of entry at JFK. The price was good. This seemed prfectly logical, but it occurred to me that I should check here. Is it necessary or advisable to get a round-trip ticket instead?

A one-way ticket is all you need! Have a safe journey home!!!

Humm... Well, the advantage of a round-trip is that it uses to be cheaper than a one-way ticket! But since you got a good price in this one you bought, there's any problem in using it!

I took a one way ticket but in some case it s cheaper to buy a round trip ticket...

I would say which ever is the cheapest, but ima tight wad ......POE dont care if its a single or return!!.infact they dont even ask about tickets

In Brazil, when I was checking the tickets, round trip was cheaper, and the tourist agency said to me it would not be possible to send a one-way ticket with my visa , but I didn't research to know about this...

One way is just fine and what most people do here Having said that a return maybe cheaper but may also raise questions at the POE as to why you need it possibly

I did the opposite on a J1 VISA a couple of years ago. I was out for 18 months and had a return ticket for 3 months later.

It is totally fine - if they mention it just tell them that the ticket you got was the cheapest price.

As most people have been saying a return ticket usually ends up cheaper as you can get last min charter flights!

Aside from the cost issue and whether or not a round trip would be cheaper, technically there is zero need for a return ticket since the visa is to bring the fiance of the petitioner to the US to get married and adjust status in the US.

I bought a one way ticket and my POE was JFK. No problem.
