i dunno if i can get good info here but i joined

trying to get some direction regarding my fiance who is from UK and I am from US-live in missouri.
we plan to marry in chicago in august, and he needs to return to UK right after.
i will be moving to the UK a few months later as i am in the quarantine process w/ dogs here.

we want to do it correctly the first time but theres so much info to sort thru
and some seems contradictory

im hoping to find an actual person who maybe has done this and would share?

even if someone could direct me to the right rea in forum here?
i didnt see anything but incoming to the US
