Did this happen to anyone else? Our lifting of conditions paperwork just arrived yesterday to the CSC and I realized about an hour ago that we forgot to include a copy of my husband's greencard! Eek! I talked to a customer service person and she suggested to wait until we get the notice requesting further evidence. But, I am antsy and would rather try to mail it in now. Have people been able to get the case number off of the back of the canceled checks recently? If so, I could send it in with that case number once the canceled check is available. Any suggestions or similar experiences out there?!

Wait for the RFE! If you mail it off now there is no way you can guarantee it would match up with your file. They receive thousands of packages a day and there is every likelihood that the two documents would never meet. With the RFE they will send a letter that you need to return and there are specific instructions to use on the envelope to ensure that it gets to the same place your file is. While you want to do something, right now the best thing to do is wait. Remember the old saying 'Haste makes waste" - that is the probable result of sending off the copy before USCIS provides you with the information they need to match the missing document to your file.

If you insist on mailing it now - then the way to ensure that it gets to the examiner working on your case is to wrap it in several hundred dollar bills laughing.gif Just kidding. Have patience and wait for the RFE, it just delays things by a week or two - its not a big deal.
