My just turned teenage son lives with my mom abroad. I visit every year and now that I am a US citizen, does anyone think it would be a problem if on my next visit, I show up at the Embassy with him with an application for Visitor's Visa. I am already filing for him to join me here but since he is in his last year (before joining high school) we did not want to disconnect his education.

But I still want him to have the benefit of visiting me whenever possible. So can a US Citizen be denied minor son's visitation to the US.

He can be given a visitor's visa but that is decided by the consulate... He must overcome intention to immigrate like everyone else... Your presence may or may not have any significant effect on his application. But to answer your final question, he can absolutely be denied...

Depends on if strong ties can be shown to the interviewing officer, if they suspect that possible immigrations is intent of getting the visa, they can deny it.

Also DCF forum has to do with a US citizen filing for an immigrant visa for a spouse at the consulate. "Bringing family members of US Citizens to America" may be a better place for this.

I read somewhere on the USCIS website that the child of a naturalized woman qualifies for US Citizenship. The same source indicated that one would need the N600 application. Does this lead to the issue of a US passport for the child at the Embassy after the application is processed?

No, because the automatic citizenship you refer too does not "kick in" until the minor child has entered the USA on an immigrant visa,,,,
