We were both in Canada during this process, so no biggie for us - however wanted to wish you a speeeeedy visa approval good.gif

*hands over the paper bag for Sapphire to breathe into* wink.gif

We hear ya, the wait is crazy, but seriously, step away from the computer from time to time, or you will drive yourself nuts. And we don't want that to happen to you! no0pb.gif

It appears that Vermont is now churning them out, so hopefully you won't have to wait as long as others have had to...but the advice to step away from the computer is good...During the early process I found that if I was on VJ too much it actually put me in a bad mood sad.gif

I had not found VJ til the near end (like 1 month from my interview) and sort of glad I had not,lol Never worried about the process, because i was ignorant to it.

Trail mix PM'd me and started talking about this stuff on the internet called PORN. Does anyone know what this stuff is? Is it an acronym for something?
SonoranSongbird
Oh yes, I remember obsessively checking to see if my petition had been delivered to CSC (so I'd know it wasn't lost in the mail) and then checking obsessively to see if my check cleared (so I'd know it wasn't lost at the bottom of a pile at CSC or burnt by the wildfires southern California was having at the time). Even though that is a relatively short part of the wait, that not-quite-knowing for even a few days is maddening!

Saphire, you are going through the faster of the two service centers, and, as Eric and Corinna mentioned, they are moving along much faster now. Good luck and welcome to VJ!

Now the obsessive compulsive behavior begins!!!
Checking USCIS every 2 minutes...staying on VJ till all hours....
It has begun!!!
Hold on hon, it's a crazy ride!!! star_smile.gif

Welcome to VJ Sapphire....I can tell you this process is a good patience builder. I've been patiently waiting since April 2007 when we started the process and soon - June 29 or 30 - I'll be headed home with my love to Chicago.

These folks are wonderful. They pick you up when you are down and share a laugh or two when needed. I do love my fellow Canucks !!!

And, it will only get worse if you started off like this.

The very reason I never checked. Too frustrating. I needed to keep my sanity.

Yeah and here's another tip : Feel free to post that in the Canada forum, but be careful out there on VJ, you'll get chewed up by people that have been waiting for months for saying you are crazy after 3 days rolleyes.gif

I actually feel pretty at peace with things now that it's been delivered. I actually LOVE my job here and don't intend to quit until a few months after i actualy get my visa, so I'm not in any rush or anything actually.

I feel myself getting excited after each NOA and then i'll simmer down.

I've been reading the boards and posting here and there since December, so I've braced myself. Now it's real though and it feels great!

I'm so glad you feel this way!!
It's been a long wait for you to even start and now you have and I couldn't be happier for you guys!!!

I'm the same way. I love my job here, I'm not really in a super rush either and I like it that way. When you work yourself up and get all anxious, it's toxic for your own sanity.

Happy journey hon!!! rose.gif
