Hello everybody!
Our expedite request for I-130 processing has been granted. Do you know whether this approval means that the rest of the process (NVC/consulate) will be put on the fast track as well? innocent.gif
Any expirience?

You will need to file an expedite request with the NVC as well.

I am sure it has something to do with USCIS being DHS and NVC/Consulate being DOS.... All decisions do not necessarily cross agency boundaries.

First, what was expedited? Your I 130 or you I 129f, if it is the I 130 then getting an expedite from NVC is the expedite for the consulate. If it is the I-129f then I dont know because i have not seen any for K3s sorry blush.gif

Actually we tried to expedite both...but only I-130 Granted for now.
What should we do after our approval in USCIS? Call to NVC? or how does it work?
Thank you 000... star_smile.gif

Once your case has been approved and a case number has been assigned by the nvc (can be from 4 days to 4 weeks) then you can call and speak with the NVC about the expedite, keep in mind the reasons for an expedite are different for NVC. Hope you have a fast journey star_smile.gif

If it's not a secret, what were the expedite reasons? My wife is also in Russia.

We have a very extreme situation with children involved. Humanitarian reason.

The reasons for an expedite are somewhat different with the NVC, but they are so much easier to deal with. I bet you will be fine! In my case, the NVC forwarded the expedite request to the Embassy and they were the one's that had to approve it. I wish you lots of luck! good.gif
