Hi Fiancee Loshiel_Kenny,
Sorry to hear about the text of ur fiance...he should not be acting like that.Instead he will help you comfort and be patient. Its not your fault. If we only have means to have a speedy visa why we cant do it to be able to our dear ones.
Just leave it up all to the Good Lord and everything will be fine!!!
Good luck...

I think your fiance is probably really missing you and having a difficult time dealing with it. That's not to excuse his comments, which were hurtful and wrong.
I remember at one point about a year ago saying that I just didn't know if I could handle this distance and this wait. I was so upset at the time and we have had to wait not just for the visa, but for P to finish grad school, and it all just came crashing down on me. Of course I would wait another 4 years if I had to, but at the time I was so tired of waiting and being alone that I didn't think I could make it another day. It seemed that everywhere I went there were happy couples. Seriously. Everywhere. And I thought "how is it possible that everyone else in the world can be happy?"
My sadness comes and goes, as does the sadness and despair of everyone waiting here, and maybe that's what your fiance is going through?
And if he's seriously giving you a deadline and doesn't understand this process is out of your control....maybe he's not the person you thought he was?
I wish you luck.

I totally agree! He should be supporting you during this time...this process is hard on all of us, but it's easier on the USC because we get to stay at home and welcome our loves into our lives...our fiance/es are leaving their homes to move somewhere completely new.

tell him that you are not the only one who is having the long wait in getting your visa. if i where you ill tell him to visit VJ and show him the list of the filas who are still waiting. i think he is just frustrated and so longing for you that's why he said that.
hope to get your visa soon
God bless!

Talk to your fiance and see whats bothering him, the same distance is bothering you too.
I remember a couple of times during the long wait for the visa I almost reached a point where I couldn't take this distace anymore but I look back now and it seems so insignificant. We will go through another separation for a year in august when D gets deployed but now we know we will get over this one too. It has only been possible with both of us supporting each other and understanding.
You both will get through this too. Just talk to him

Sounds like he was joking you. Filipinos are sensitive and would think it was serious when it wasn't.
I hope he was just joking you.
Coz if he was serious and if he meant that, that's too shallow.

True Filpinas are sensitive, but that is not very nice thing to say either joking or being serious. He should be ashamed of himself.

Hi there. I saw your timeline and I noticed that your visa was already approved, it will only take a couple of weeks for your visa to arrive. Both you and your fiance waited for much longer time for your petition to be approved so a couple of weeks should be nothing. There's nothing much you can do now because it's already been approved. Tell him to just keep busy and PRAY! God bless you both and may our visa arrive soon..smile!

Does your fiance understand that the delay is not YOU but the CONSULATE?
I do not understand what warrants him giving you an ultimatum over when you should come when you have no control over the situation.
Tell him he needs to grow up. This kind of talk is not somthing you need to hear from him, considering you are at the last part of your journey. Patience is part of all this immigration protocol.

Hello I am sorry for you situation but I am a bit confused. It says you got married on the June 4, 2008. Is this what is stopping you from getting a fiance visa...or some mistake in time line?
Your timeline:

Visa Received :
US Entry :
Marriage : 2008-07-04
Comments : Visa get approved May 22, 2008 4hrs. and 11mins. from now!!! Praised God!

Their marriage date is July. I think they put in a hopeful marriage date as I did on mine. If her visa got approved already though on May 22nd I would think she should be there by July 1st or shortly after depending on her consulate. I realllllly hope he was joking though as my first thought at reading what he texted was

so yeah hope he was joking......or else you may wanna look to see if there are any other red flags

I will give him the benefit of the Doubt on this one.... If it wasn't a joke, then it was out of frustration. This process is long and sometimes very painful. It takes alot out of people and only the strong survive. You two are so close to being together, so I wouldn't let his comment effect you two in any way.... I would tell him your feelings about his comment though.... You do have that right to tell him it hurt you! Good Luck to the both of you!

Completely agree.
I really don't see how someone who is in a real and loving relationship would say something like that.
"So yeah, time line, you get here by then or basically, you don't love me"
What the heck is that crap? When you are in a real, committed relationship with a person, you don't go around talking like that. You wait together, work through it together and love one another. He's bascially placing all the stress and blaming the OP for their having to wait.
Insane.
To the OP...I would have a serious discussion with your significant other. That's crazy!!

I think the OP should text her fiance back and ask if he is joking or not, guess that is the only way to really find out if hes joking or not...
Thing is, I see a lot of people who think he is joking about it (the foreign fiancee's think this way mostly apparently) and there is about as much people who think that he is just an ### and is not joking about it (this seems to be mostly the USC's)...
I think that he is being an a*hole with the text and is not exactly making a joke about it and, no offence, I am wondering if those who think he is making a joke about it are not easier in justifying certain stuff just to keep the peace.
For some reason I don't think it is just safe to say 'he is just joking, just go for it anyways' while he might be a real control freak as some of us think he is... and if he really is such a control freak, then it might be time to seriously consider wether or not you want to be with him, who knows how he will be when you are actually there and gave your life up for him in your home country? You might actually end up with nothing at all so guess all I try to say atm is; see if you can find out if he was really joking.. if he wasn't then you should really consider if you still want to be with him before you make a very big mistake (you wont be the first who finds out their fiance is completely different than expected).

I certainly hope that he was not serious, but it is not a funny joke at all if it was a joke. There is some confusion with your post and your timeline. Have you already had your interview and already gotten approved? Looks like you are just waiting to get the actual visa in hand. And your fiance cannot understand this? If this is indeed the stage of the process that you are at now, I would think he could be more understanding that it is just a matter of waiting util the visa is ready to be picked-up. Maybe there is something missing that we don't quite understand regarding your timeline. Otherwise, I would think really deeply about the man you are about to marry, if he is acting this way BEFORE the marriage. Good luck with your journey.

Loshiel Kenny,
It is the new policy of the Embassy to check papers that was submitted to them. They do it because some were fraud. My heart goes to you as i experience same being on AR for 6 weeks. It is sad to know but we can't do anything than to wait. If your they dont ask anything from you that means all are okey and they will take time to review it again and you will soon receive your visa. Tell your fiance that it takes time and he should be supportive to you. My fiance was the one calling the embassy and inquiring the status so he should know what was going on. I suggest that he should do the same if it is not too much for him. Just pray, tell him to extend a little patience and enjoy while you are still there. I wish you the best of luck.
