My son is 20 months old and he applied for K2 and will be flying with to US next week.

My question is, what's the next thing that I should do after the wedding? Does he need to apply for AOS as well?

Another thing, on my son's BC, he is an illegitimate coz no father was written there since it is my choice coz his biological father was my ex-bf and we broke up when i was still 3 months pregnant. So, I wanted to have a BC of my son where my fiance's name would be there, probably we can do that after our wedding, right?

Does anyone here know how do i do these things?

Thanks in advance..

Yep! He will apply to adjust status along with you.
I adopted my stepdaughter when she arrived in the US and adjusted her status along with moms.
She got her US Citizenship a year later. Moms still has to wait the 3 years.
Don't know how you can get fiances [stepdad to be] name on the BC.

Don't think you can.

check the requirements for adoption in the state you will be residing. as far as amending your son's birth certificate, I don't know if there is a way.

thanks for all your responses, i truly appreciate it. I will be going to Texas and I tried reading their Adoption Law but it said their that adoption must be from parents to another individual which would not be my case because I am a single parent (stated on my son's BC), so the father area of his BC is just blank.

thanks again. smile.gif

What your fiance will be doing is a step-child adoption. perhaps he can call DFPS to find out what are the procedures.
I'd have him mention their is no biological father on the B/C. best of luck good.gif
