Full Version: Problems with P3 at Montreal?

Maeve
After reading some of the Montreal consulate reviews, my fiance realized that he may have done something wrong in sending in his packet 3. He thought he was supposed to send all of the paperwork in along with the form, so now the consulate has all his paperwork. The packet has already been recieved - delivery confirmation - and it's been there for over a week and he hasn't heard anything back yet. We're assuming that they'll contact him if there's anything wrong...right??

Anyone else mis-read these directions? Are we screwed or will it be ok?

Correct me if I'm wrong but it isn't a big deal as long as he signed the checklist and sent them all of the required forms. The packet would have been good for his reference when preparing for his interview... but Thank God for VJ, we can always help out if there are any questions.

The only problem that might come up is when he goes for his medical. Usually you bring your packet 4 letter to the Medical but they do accept the packet 3 cover letter instead. So, he will need either one of those for that.

You can always email the Consulate asking for advice. They've been very good about getting back to me, usually within the day.

Thanks for the help!

He's already done the medical, so that's at least out of the way.

He's still a bit nervous about the whole thing, but I think we'll be ok. There have to be people who've sent everything in before. And I get the impression that the Montreal interview's not too difficult.

(Easy for me to say, tho...I don't have to go happy.gif)

That's good to know; he didn't want to e-mail them 'cause he didn't think he'd get a reply. I'll let him know! Thanks!

For the most part, the interviews in Mtl are a Breeze. Sending too much info isnt that bad of a thing, sendin gin NOT enough info would e a problem, lol Mtl is slow at handing out interviews, so thats probably why you have not heard anything

Thanks! Sounds like we should be ok, then good.gif

Well, apparently sending too much information was a good thing!

We got our interview letter today!!! And the interview is next week already!!

Not really sure how that happened that you got your interview so early, but congratulations smile.gif

Just when I think this process can't confuse me anymore...

Could make for an interesting experiment... if others sent their P3s back with all the paperwork & see how fast they get an interview. Then again, could be a fluke, who knows!

Who knows - maybe it really does make a difference! Bet it can't hurt to send too much stuff in...
Cassie
Methinks it was a fluke. smile.gif I personally wouldn't take this as a sign for everyone to go ahead and send in evidence (seeing as Montreal hardly looks at it anyways during the interview), but that's just me.

Regardless, I wish Maeve's fiance a smooth interview!!! smile.gif

Thanks smile.gif

I do feel a little bad for everyone else who's been waiting, tho...It doesn't seem fair that there are so many people ahead of us who are still waiting for their interview. It's not really fair that this part of the process seems as though the lucky few are just pulled out of a hat...

Oh, you'll find that happening at pretty much every part of the process. Welcome to the wonders of US immigration! wink.gif
