I was doing some more research, some of the information I was looking up was different than the others. When My Fiance goes for the interview ( Tokyo Embassy) What forms does she need to have with her? 1 forum says they dont need much, they need affidavit of support and another letter saying you still intend to marry her. Then another post said she will need both originals of the diovorce decrees for the interviews. If the Tokyo Embassy has the packet that I sent, then both Decrees are included in them. Does she still need them? any other information would be nice. Thanks

is there any easier way to do this process if you are in the Military? I talked to the folks on base and they could not help me at all.

when the us embassy sends your fiance the first packet it will explain everything she need to have for the interview. there will ba a few things she will need from you,support form I134 (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-134.pdf) you need the adobe reader to download that page. its the form she will need from you, it also explains other things you will need to send to her. i belive you will need to send her a original birth certifacte too. i can remember what all i send. dont worry the first packet will explain what she needs, have her scan a copy and email it to you, it most likely will be in her language and in english. good luck.

i think sometimes they will send a letter to the petitioner, i didnt get a letter. she just told me over th phone what all she needed from me. yes i think she will get a couple packets. the first one should be her application with directions to what all they will need from you, the next packet will be the paper work for the medical exam she will need to have. then the last thing they will send is the letter that will tell her the interview date.

Seems like divorce decree bothers you.
I had a K-1 interview in Mid March, at that time, Tokyo Embassy didn't request divorce decree. You're right, they have it on their hands. (I brought it just in case, but no chance to show it ) However, to prove continuous relationship, your fiancee needs to show (not submit... just show them) the additional evidence, i.e. like after you filed 129F. This is written on the guide in packet 3.
But most of the case, the interviewer does not ask for, if her story sounds real.

thanks, I've just heard different stories, It does not really bother me, I wanted to send her paper work in advance so she has it if she needs it, I was just wondering if the my original divorce decree was needed. I guess I should send it to be on the safe side. I'm glad you talked about proof of contonious relationship. I will be visiting there in Sep or Oct, after my deployment is over in Iraq. I guess we need to take more pictures of us, and give her my boarding pass ticket stubbs. thank you very much!

Just follow the K-1 guide above. Below the instructions for submitting the I-129f are what you'll need to send her after you receive the NOA2. My husband took all of the originals with him to the interview, but didn't need to show them. However, a girl who was being interviewed at about the same time was asked to show various items, but she didn't have most of what they asked for. We don't know the outcome of her interview or if she had to go back, but it's better to send too much, than not enough.

I was stationed at Yokota AB from 2004-2007, I'm stationed at New Mexico at Holloman AFB, but currently in Iraq right now on deployment

We were at Yokota from 1988-1995 and then I moved just north of the base to Iruma-shi, Saitama (about 15 min from Mizuho Mall) until 2003. Been back here just 5 years, but I miss Japan. I miss Japan alot. My borther is stationed at Yokota AB also. So it was great to live in Japan together. I want to live there. I left Japan in November 2007. but I took leave and returned in Jan. and March. I miss it alot. I will be going back there again in Sep. after my deployment is over. My fiance lives in Chiba. A couple hours train ride from Fussa. Not much information needed right now, I'm sure I will have all kids of question as soon as I get NOA1's and NOA2's. I sent my I-129f June1st and they havent cashed the check yet, I hope they got it. I did not to the Mail receipt because I did not think of it at the time.
