We had a backyard wedding in a landscaped garden that Gene and I created. I was so lucky to have my kids there that day. In one pic here my family and friends asked who the "gansta" was...and said he looked like a Gotti! haha That was my son...

That's the thing I find hard right now, I cannot make any friends really because all my coworkers are all single woman that are pissed off about men....so they keep telling me my fairy tale won't last forever and my husband will sooner or later be bad....what the f ever... What part they don't get in " I found my soulmate and changed country for him" ? You guys are the only people that really understand me right now !

I want to have a proper wedding now that I have seen all these wonderful pictures. Keep them coming they are all wonderful.

My husband put in his vows that he would cross oceans for me. And he did.

Those women are just bitter cause they can't find someone that will cross the front walk to take out the trash for them.

Some of my friends were skeptical at first, and they coudn't understand the whole LOOOOOONG distance relationship thing. But now they are rethinking their position. I tell them, "How do you know your soulmate is in THIS country?"

I know it may seem strange, but I love the kiss pictures. Have you ever realized how in most of the ones you find in this forum, everyone is so deeply in love and into eachother? I mean yea, most weddings have passion, but there just seems to be something different. I don't know if part of my awareness of it is because I know how hard it is to be separated from the one you love while we have to wait for paperwork to go through and how much I long to just see him. I don't know if this makes sense, but you can tell how much you love eachother and that is awesome!

It looks like fun! I got married at the justice of the peace in March of 2007 and after all the immigration paperwork goes through and I have the baby and lose some weight, I am planning on another ceremony with my husband's family in Canada. I live in Colorado also. It is so much fun to look through everyone's weddings. Each one so special in their own ways!

yeah, it was outside.. I always wanted a May wedding with all the flowers in bloom but that didn't work out.. we got married in March so there wasn't a lot of colour in the way of flowers etc.....

i have another pic that we took on that bridge that I really like.. I had just leaned over to give my hubby a kiss on the cheek like I usually do and everyone is like, hold that pose ...lol so I had to stand there for a few minutes with my lips on his cheek....lol

A was stressing out before the wedding about finding a dress. Money was an issue with flying back and forth to Australia a couple times a year. And I also didn't want to wear white. Been there, done that. Then I found this dress at Davids Bridal on the clearance rack. The sales gal had just set it out 15 min prior to me walking in the door. It jumped right out at me. I love that shade of red. $29.99 was all it cost. It fit perfect and I already had the jewlery at home. Happy days!

lol i wore red too, but that was also cuz I didn't want to pay for a wedding dress, also we sorta did everything in like a month, cept I went shopping for it like the week before. I rly didn't even want to wear a dress but his mom sorta wanted me too lol i rly didn't care. we just had a civil wedding, (pic with the mayor who married us) and then a decent party a few hours after at his parent's house. (dunno how 60 people fit in there though)



of course this is what i rly wanted to wear, shirts we have from the poker forum we post on (the off topic part of it lol)

We wore our jeans (and shirts too ) - basically our everyday clothes.

This is a photo I manipulated using a digital imaging program...I've made this one, one of me, and one of Joel that I plan on having printed out and framed...sort of like a triptych (sp?) type thingie. I'm really enjoying this!

This one is gorgeous! I can see this one printed in a 11x14 with some nice matting in a 16x20 gold frame. Maybe a frame that is brushed gold to add depth.

me too! It makes me think of the song "Lady in Red" My hubby likes me in red. When all this immigration stuff is over, we are talking about having a ceremony in Canada. I am not sure if we will do it in Montreal, Quebec City or Niagra Falls, but I want his family to be there and some of my family too. I wore black in the civil ceremony, but I hope to have lost weight before this other ceremony. I don't really want to do black this next time I don't think, so I might do red too... I am not sure.
