Hello everybody! Got another question before i send in my I-751 packet

Do i really need to have my A# on the affidavits (we are probably going to send in a couple)?

Can i just write it on a top of the page if it's needed?

The reason to put the A# on is to ensure that the individual for whom the affidavit is written is the same individual as referred to in the application. That being said, as long as there is enough information for USCIS to verify you are the person or couple referred to in the affidavit I see no reason why you can't write the A# on the top of the page when you add it to your application package. I would certainly have it on some where if only to ensure that, if the letters become separated for some reason from your application, they can always find out where they belong. Good luck.

I drafted the example affidavit that's provided here, and decided on my own to put a line for the A# at the top. It's not necessary, but it's the only number one has at the time of filing. If for some reason the affidavit got separated from the rest of your documents, it would be the only sure way to identify which case it belongs to. Having said that, my understanding is that CIS keeps all the docs together in a two-hole-punched package, so it's unlikely it would get separated. Still, why would you have a problem with putting it on there?

James, when i emailed the template (thanks for providing that to everyone! ) to my mother-in-law i forgot to put my A# on it and she's already got the document notarized before i realized the omission, i was just wondering if it was crucial cuz if it's not then i wont bother having her go do it over
