Has anyone emailed the usem (consivmanila@state.gov ) to get some inquires about your case? Did you guys get any response back? I was wondering if I should email them.

i tried i before and i got no answer..... u better call them there hotline

Thank you.. I have called but got the same answer. Was hoping to email one of the consulate. Oh well..

I emailed them and got a response...............about 6 months later!!!!!!

You can contact USEM by calling the hotline..they wont reply to your inquiries via email. Call them, with that youll get answer right away.. Goodluck!

Got reply same day after emailing USEM.

Right after my interview, the Consul told me that my document verification result is still pending, they will ONLY release my visa if they receive already the result from NSO. And so i told my husband about this. My husband called Ms. Shannon, secretary of Senator Brownback to update her of my interview. And then, Ms. Shannon was the one who emailed the USEM Manila to inquire about this pending Document verification. Here's the reply:

This is in reply to your inquiry of May 15, 2008, regarding the visa concerns of your constituent, -------------.

The applicant was refused a visa on May 12, 2008, under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), pending verification by the Philippine central registry of the applicant’s marital status. These record checks normally take 4 to 6 weeks.

As soon as we receive the verification from the Philippine Government and complete our review of the case, we will contact the applicant to resume processing the visa application.

If the applicant would like to inquire further about the status of the visa case, she may contact the Embassy's Visa Call Center at telephone 1-909-101-7878. This number is for subscribers of PLDT and Smart telephone touchtone landlines with national and international distance dialing features (NDD or IDD access). Callers in the USA can contact the Call Center at 1-888-877-9888. The Call Center is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Manila time). There is a fee assessed to callers by the Call Center for its services.
