HI
Here is my story. I am a resident of EG. I am the USC. The embassy in EG does not accept immigration visa's. This is done in Cameroon. So here is the Time Line.
Met on Feb 8, 2007 in EG. ( was in the process of getting separatedfrom first wife)
Finished Legal Separation march 15 th 2008.
Filed for divorce March 16th 2008
Divorce Final April 1st 2008.
Got married to new wife April 14th 2008
Spent a month getting papers together.
Went to Cameroon may 18th 2008 ( Discovered Cameroon had a 3 day holiday). So we hang out for three days.
Went to embassy May 21, 2008 They took all papers and made us wait a couple of hours. They then returned with an appointment Letter for the following day May 22, 2008 at 8:30 and the medical form. We hustled to the approved doctor. She did the medical and because we had an appointment the next morning they asked us to return that evening and they would have it finished. We returned at 6:00PM and they gave us the paperwork.
We returned for appt it was approved. Now problem was they put the visa in the passport and my wife needed it to travel. So they agreed to process it on tues. Monday of course was a holiday. We came back on tues. Now understand we had to sit for 3 days. We could do muck because my wife did not have passport. But we got back there tues at four. And 1.5 hours later they gave us the passport and a sealed envelope of papers and the passport. The passport is good for 6 months.
So 2 days to process paper work had to wait 3 days for visa.
God is Good.
I will say i had all papers. All my t's were crossed. All my I's were dotted. I had everything this site told me to have. I could not have done this with out the help of all the people that have taken the time to share their stories.
Thank you All and God Bless you
